Hey, I just installed this mod and I'd like to use the extension .gif instead of .png. Is there any way I can do this and have it work? Thanks.

I'm willing to edit PHP files. I've already edited the template to display the .gifs.

I remember wondering if I would make it with pngs or gifs when I started to make it. I finally decided pngs but I don't remember why, it was either easier or more compatible.
Search php.net for image (GD not Imagemagick) functions and you will probably find your way :)

Two file edits resolve the php version issue.

Open e-steki_smilie_creator.php

Find: $forumurl='' and update the url to yours with no trailing /
Find: imagepng($placeholder,"",100); and replace with imagepng($placeholder);

Wow amazing never even thought something like this would exist!

Anyone tried this on 3.8.3? Sounds like a terrific product!
