If you have version 0.5 installed, you should install the current upgrade now.

If you didn't install this hack yet, maybe you should wait until Tuesday.

i've installed this hack and followed all instructions..however the thanks bouton is not showing ..what is causing that? thanking you in advance for any help :)

undo the edit you said you just did. did you do the edit in showthreads.php

don't try useing the unistaller, it doesn't work right now. The release for v1.0 will be on tuesday. I'm finishing up last minute work on it.

I think this would be a good suggestion, for the sake of completeness and tidiness ( database housingkeeping ).

Btw Abe, does this hack have the ability to only allow the author of the particular post where there are thank yous to view the thank you notes ?

Instead of showing thank yous for every other post, which could make the showthread page get pretty cluttered.

1) there would be a lot of PHP editing if you want to delete the thank you's when you delete a post. I may come out in the future with an updater that removes the unused thank yous. The only problem keeping them in the database is the space it takes up which is almost nothing. What you can do now is click 'remove all' before you delete a post.

2) No option like that now. Maybe i'll add it to the to-do list in the future. I don't know how many people would use it though. why whould you want only the poster see who says thanks?

3) Even if every post has a 'thank you box', the thread doesn't look cluttered.

well considering this is meant for other members to say thank you to a post, you'd probably only want to know who has said thank you to a post you made , right ? :)
