Works great, fresh install on 4.1.9. Thanks for this! Marked installed and rated.

One suggestion if possible - to have the avatar linked to the members profile page so when you click on the avatar you would be taken to their profile page.

I confirm that you can test it out safely, simply install and check it right away. I don't see why it wouldn't work on vB 4.0.2. If the avatars don't show up, let me know and I'll check it out for a possible compatibility issue to fix, eventually.

Would it be possible to modify this slightly to put the avatar image to the left of the thread title and remove the thread icon? Sort of like how IPB does?

I think there already exists a mod for that, by digitalpoint if I'm not mistaken.
