As long as you have one there your fine.

The instructions are posted, if you do not have any of the stated ways of backing up the tables you can ask someone to help you install the hack. (we can do that :) )

The postbit is a cached variable from within the awards_postbit_display template.

Could you elaborate more on this, I think I know where your going with this but not 100% sure.

Since I am still in progress of adding awards to my current board this is my current awards graphics dir, there are alot of awards in here, mainly military based but thats just me. you can weed out what you like/dislike, I will get more and post them as well over time. Also a lot of these are not yet dark background friendly, I still need to have CyhperSTL make them transparent, as soon as he does I will link ya to those as well...

thanks i removed all the extras and looks better the way it looks now..thanks

I don't know if its just me but the Order awards in Profile option doesn't seem to work. I recently upgraded from v2 to this one, v4. If you have some free time, could you please check it out Xanlamin or CypherSTL. Thanks. :)

How do I get the awards to show in the left side of the postbit after the rank image?

AWJunkies 08-11-2008 03:07 AM

So glad someone did this and I may provide my cron automation hack for this for public release. As I already coded a completely new awards system with my software there is no need for this hack anymore or the cron. So I will look over this code and send somebody the cron.

Ive uploaded everything, I can access the settings in "vBulletin options" but the Award Manager ACP section isn't there, and there is noting in postbit or profiles.

Help?

Thanks

(i've clicked installed)

When I was testing the postbit displays of the hack, I completely forgot to check how it looked within the H-Postbit. I'll play around with this on my test board and see if I cant add some more placement options for you guys.

What exactly does the cron do?

Did you completely remove the old version of YAAS including the manual template edits that you had to make before?

As for some of the coding. I haven't done much coding with interfacing with vBulletin directly, it's mainly been with getting external pages retrieving information from the vBulletin database which is why the awards_profile.php using pretty much straight PHP code. If you have rewritten the awards_profile.php it to make it "vB Friendly", I can repackage it into the hack and make sure that you get credit for it. Atleast then the hack wouldn't have to pull the table prefix from your config file.

I know its not the cleanest code, but have to start learning to code with VB inmind somewhere. All this has been a learning experiance as far as the profile tabs and what not goes.

I appriciate everyones feedback, both positive and negative. The input recieved only makes us want to make this hack even better for everyone.

I've never had other versions of YaAS before and it all seems to be running fine apart from the fact that the 'Awards Showcase' and the 'Total Awards' button link to the user profile but they don't show any of the awards I have given. My user account has two awards and none of them show in the profile. There is also no link in the profile to somewhere where they can be viewed. Another user account only has the one award but this doesn't show in the profile area either. Everything is working fine in the rest of the mod though. i.e awards displaying in postbit.

I have redid the XML File according to the suggestions from liwo to where the awards_profile.php page is no longer needed. This should fix some the issues that people are receiving.

I will add a few more placement options as much as I can. I will also include instructions for those wanting to make their own insert locations in the postbits.

When I get these other fixes done, we'll repackage and reupload the hack for everyone to download.

Like the mod and updated!

I've added "My Awards" to the phrases. If you find anymore that you would like to be phrased, feel free to send me a PM.
