It's related to "Links Viewing Permissions". Will be improved in the next version.

Great hack, thanks. I needed a way to stop comment spam which got through manually. This does the job nicely.

I'm looking for a way to turn off img tag images for guests (basically the equivalent of turning off images in your options once you're registered)...is that something that might make it into this hack?

Dude, just set unregistered to not be able to view images. ;)

Er... just checked, that's download attachments...

Er... just checked, that's download attachments...

:D Even the support guys at vb.com said this isn't natively supported. I posted in the mods request forum and bumped it a few times but the thread just keeps getting ignored.

You could always exclude certain forums from this hack. So when members post in these forums, then their post count will rise.

Easy to install and a great hack. Try it out and you will see how customisable it is.

Found a bug unfortunately.

Have disabled:

Links Viewing Permissions
Links Posting Permissions

by using a 0 in the field.

When guest then tries to post with a link in the message, the following info comes up:

To be able to post links your post count must be 0 or greater. Your post count is momentarily.

Please remove links from your message, then you will be able to submit your post.
