LOL ... I'm a dinosaur who has heard of podcasting but never messed with it. If you can point me to a tutorial about what it means to "support podcasting", I'll let you know!

I'd also suggest you try adding ecDownloads Buddy. It totally changes how the files are downloaded. That may help.

Hey there

Hi again west!

I installed this and i can go directly to the downloads page via putting in http://websitelink/downloads.php

However i get an error at the top of the screen saying

There is no index.html or index.php in the download directory!

Also, i cannot see a link anywhere within the main page for the downloads though i have set the permissions correctly

help ;)

There is no index.html or index.php in the download directory!
it means you need to add that file to the downloads folder in your ftp
westpointer you should make a thing yin your first post about that this way you dont get so many of them questions again

mmackinnon 07-08-2006 02:28 AM

ahhh OK

So is there no link to this on the Navbar or antyhing? Do i have to tell users to manually place the link with downloads.php?

if you have a navbar you could put it there there is a few ways to do it depending on your theme..

another thing why does ronin have to try to come back and ruin things again... is he mad westpointer gave better support? i guess dan rather and abc or cbs or what ever it maybe next week was a lie huh? paul thanks for opening it back up too

Hey wespointer are you using a different download.php here?

http://www.strategyzoneonline.com/forums/downloads.php?

That's how mine used to look but now all the side menus are at the top and show up on every page again.

DementedMindz 07-08-2006 03:33 AM

you can change that around pretty easy... look for downloads_panel_top and change it to downloads_panel_side also change downloads_wrapper_top to downloads_wrapper_side in downloads.php... i think that was all westpointer will have to confirm it... just change what you want to your look and feel..
