Not sure if this is still supported ... cant see owner replying..but if anyone or the owner does come on..

Is there a way to move the Smilie box onto another line/level instead of at the side as its breaking my style atm ...

Anyone know how the weighting works?

I have PC Security weight at 1, Windows at 2 and the other two categories as 3 & 4. So, why is PC Security and Windows at the bottom of the list? :confused:

This may have been answered but I searched the thread and couldn't seem to find a working answer.
How can I removed the Site Message or Disclaimer I've removed everything in the Site Message or Disclaimer box in the downloadII settings in the administration CP but the column to the left of the download section is still there.

if a user gets the file name, they can spread it out ..... will v6 stop this? like some anti-leech protection?

First reason, you need to set a higher wait_timeout variable in your my.cnf (and restart MySQL afterwards). As the queries take place after the long upload.

Ok REALLY PISSED at my host but I'm trying to calm down. Apprently BLUEHOST does not let you change the my.cnf file and can't do anything.

I need to locate an addon or plugin that doesn't keep a MySQL connection open the entire time. Sorry for being a pest but this whole experience is likely causing me to cancel bluehost all together but before I do so I want to see if theres a way around this.

Where can i edit the navigation bar for VBadvanced portal? On my front page the downloads go to: mysite.com/downloads but in the forums it goes to: mysite.com/forum/downloads which this is correct? How do I fix so no front page of portal got to
forum/downloads?

Hi, I was also wondering how to make it so the "preview pic" on the side redirects to the download page. All my files are hosted off server, I noticed on your site clicking on the "preview pic" makes it redirect to the actual download page of the file. Whereas on mine when someone sees the list of files and clicks on the "preview pic" it redirects them to the page of the file that is hosted off server and not vbulletin. Like this:

See the pics on the side? Clicking them brings you to the download page of the addon. On mine they bring you outside the site. I want users to be able to see the info by clicking on the pick, rather than being brought outside the site so quickly.

Just installed this having used it on forums elsewhere - excellent mod !

Couple of questions (being a vBulletin Admin noob) :

1) increasing the file size - the .htaccess file - what filetype is this ? (sorry, not a web programmer etc)

2) I have a user who wants to make an ebook available for download. This has a folder structure etc and lots of hi-res pics in it - total about 320Mb (half a cd). Is it practical to make this available via Downloads II on a forum or not ? If so, best to offer as an iso file ? He has a pdf but the images are compressed and as it's about photographic art he really wants to have the hi-res pics available

3) assuming the above ebook is made available - likely impact on forum performance when users downloading (not likely to be many at any one time) ?

Hi guys.

Hoping someone can help!

I recently moved service providers and since the move when anybody goes to download a file it comes up with the following error:

ERROR: File not found.

The directory is /forum/downloads

In the config it's set to ./downloads/

I can add files and it will place them in the downloads folder.

I can access the files directly by going to /forum/downloads/filename yet downloads app can not seem to find them?

Any ideas?

I've also replaced ./downloads/ in the config with the physical location of the directory /public_html/etc etc etc and still the same error.

Sorry for the PM's. I figured out how to install highslide but have no idea how to put it into the <img> tag in downloads.php or what part to edit. I also have a few questions. I got highslide to work on the forums, and I'm trying to make it so JUST the image pops up. Not the black background or anything I got that to work by changing:

Thanks RS_Jelle for your help, you probably think I'm a whacko lol. :P

But ok, Vbulletin should seriously provide some support for 'highslide' because it's not easy to get working at all. I just took the highslide settings from your site RS_Jelle I hope you don't mind so ignore my last post.

RS_Jelle how do I edit the category of the actual download? I have no use for the field "Author" so I wanted to remove that. But I also want to add a "Version" field, and a "Quality" field. You know how a field like "File Name" or "Size" etc...

Also, I looked everywhere in this thread but the question was never answered: "How do I get the category image to the left instead of underneath the description?"

Along with another question when I try to upload .bmp files as the image to the download I get Fatal error: Call to undefined function

I listed bmp as my image format and even switched imagemagick but it still doesn't work.

I'd also like to add that unless someone is very familiar with coding. editing the <img> isn't all that easy. In downloads.php there are over several <img> tags, which one do I edit, what do I edit? Am I taking something out? Adding something in? Where do I add whatever I'm adding in?

Line 1015. Just replace the default downloads.php code with the attached one. It works just fine.

I would like to arrange the main categories in a way that every two categories appear next to each other (in the mode DOWNLOADSII). Every time I tried this, the categories come above each other. Please Advise.

I'm attempting to use the Import feature to add in over 300 mp3 filesthat are about 60-100mb a piece.

However when hitting the Import button the page refreshes to a blank page and says Done at the bottom of the browser.

I had the files already in the directory the Downloads mod is set to in the settings. Do I need to move them elsewhere?

found the problem...300+ is too many for it to handle at once. Max was 5 at a time.

1. You can add icons to categories via AdminCP

2. Possibility to add images to a download is presented after the file itself was uploaded.

I've got one question regarding the template edits.

When I reviewed the MEMBERINFO, I was unable to locate the portion stated above.

On the file description I have an MP3 BBcode...however in the file list it just shows as "http://www.domain.com/file.mp3" is there anyway to get it so it doesn't show this file URL? I don't want the BBcode to be seen either but anything else would be fine.
