Yes, you have to work it though the forums permissions as well as user group permissions.

On my board, no one can post to the gallery except the gallery chairman, so I edited user groups and form permissions and it works great.

Can View Thread Content option does not seem to work though. Unregistered members can never view the gallery, no matter what permissions are set.

This is a setting in the templates. Normally also guests can view the gallery. At least they should be able to see the thumbnails. See here:

I've looked at the gallery postbit template, but not sure what has to be removed to allow guests to view the gallery posts themselves.

I'm currently reading up on the permissions system of vbulletin. Would be nice if the gallery pulls all permissions directly from the forum\user permission settings, including being able to view a thread\gallery thread or not.

Hey I noticed with your install instructions it shows you have to link it in the navbar but what if I want to add it to the bigger gray bar that home and everything else is located in?

Are you both just referring to the fact that guests cant view the gallery? Or are you saying that if someone isnt in the usergroup to use the gallery that they can't view it?
I just want to double check because I want to be able to limit each users ability to upload to the gallery but have all registered users be able to view pics.

Pictures aren't showing up in the Gallery. Not even a red X. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Check in your vbulletin-options, if you have set thumbs enabled. It could be, that not the thumbnails, but the attachment as it self will be shown in the post.

The problem for me is: I only have the german-version of the board, and i don't know the english translation for the options.
