I agree - this is probably the best hack out there. My members swarm to the arcade, but I don't charge a fee. I also paid to download games and even though the price was kind of steep, I found it worth while as I was able to double my games that I could offer. My forum was just started in Jan 2005, and I already have 226 members. Right now there are 6 members online and 4 of them are in the arcade!

My only wish is that someone could get the netplay feature working.

What is needed though is a separate thread that would allow links for people to download games... rather than folks who are looking to be constantly posting on here. Would the powers here allow such a thread if we only posted links and did not allow people to upload games directly here (and eat up space and bandwidth of vbulletin.org)?

Important: Be careful with the copyright!! Ask the authors if it is okay for them that you use their games in your forum.

Did you run the install file?

yes it came from the install file

If you ran the installer then the table should be there.

Try it again..

Go to "yoursite.com/admincp/install_arcade.php" and follow the steps again?

I will have something up soon that will allow game downloads. I have not had the time to do anything with it lately between work and home happenings, but it is almost ready. No, please do not ask for the games yet because they are not in a ready to go state. There are places out there to get games. A link will be posted when it is up.

While I agree some with what you have said, I would rather have the defunct hacks moved to a sort of oldies but goodies forum, install at your own risk.

I further think that it is the charter of vbulletin.org to help forum owners and leasees make the most out of their boards. Is this done with major addition hacks that have been abandoned?

Yes, I accede that John put out a good product, but it has run its course.

Back when Vbulletin 2 was out Futereals Arcade was the main one and never had more than the installation games for a good year into me having installed it , no one complained back then

Answer: The installation script only installs templates to the style that
you're using at the time of the installation. It's simple to change.

In admincp/install_arcade.php

You won't have this option (right now) with v3. You upload the X.game.php file to admincp and execute it directly. That is, of course, if I understand you correctly.

Ok, I have a small problem.

I just deleted all users with 0 posts, and half of them had #1 scores at games. Now I get an mysql error every hour due to that. Any quick way to fix this?

I hate upgating mysql everyday due to this.

You know I know this thing is a resource hog and isnt really "good" code. Yes its free and yada dada but this guy is in no way supporting this. I see no differnce in this and say... vbindex. The way i did this was to set up a usergroup called "arcade users" and restrict the arcade access to that group. You can then set up an automatic promotion in the admin cp so that any users that have made "x" number of posts are moved into the arcade users group.
