Hi v12kid,
It appears someone responded to your queries on network.zoints.com as I am sure you know with responding and all. ;) But in regards to your second question, which appears different than on the thread you created on the support forums, are you still having difficulty with this? And if so, are you referring to the styles within Zoints? Thanks for joining Zoints. - Reid |
I used the zoints editor, and the style exists on the zoints.com site, but the style doesn't show up as an option on my forum.
|
also, the user search facility doesn't work at all, returning the message "no users found", no matter what I enter.

Right now, sadly, there is a lack of integration between the Local and Centralized (Zoints.com) versions that permits such a thing from being a possibility. To create a style for your Zoints Local installation, log into the Zoints Local install and create your style, click settings, Zoints Admin Area, Pages and then edit the particular pages you want to display the style you created. You can also disable style editing so that members are restricted to a particular style, if you want it that way. Quote:

To clarify, if I enter an exact username then it will return the relevant user.
But it won't return anything under any other search option. |
Under normal conditions, it should return results by searching either partial or complete names. I haven't dealt with this problem personally, but I will look into it a bit further. I would suggest creating a ticket though in the mean time as there might be someone a bit more experienced with that issue to help you.

it should also return results by entering in other data though... it says "all fields are optional"
So for example, if I wanted to find other users between the ages of 20 and 30, then I would not enter a username or part of a username. I would simply enter the age range and click on submit. This should return some users, but it returns none. Same happens if I do a search for people in the USA, or any other country. No users are returned. ___ EDIT: Perhaps this is because the search facility can only search through communities to which you have already chosen to be connected? Not sure if that is how it is supposed to work? Ideally the search facility should allow you to find relevant people and communities before you are connected to them via zoints.com. I believe this would be a lot more logical for the user. |
I own several forums. Is there a bridge to connect them?

Please submit a support ticket at network.zoints.com (I don't believe you have, but I could of overlooked it I suppose) as this one is perplexing me quite a bit and I would like to get a few more eyes on the problem. Quote:
There isn't a bridge at this point but more connectivity is something we are looking looking at for future releases. Sorry. - Reid |
I installed everything, the profile works, however, no matter what I do, I can't get the integration to work. None of the zoints links show up. I did the import of the product xml, and then I did it manually. Nothing.
