Not sure if its your deal or not. But I've found in the past, that "overwriting" doesn't always work and I have to DELETE old files and then upload the new ones and everything works peachy. Just a thought.

MortysTW 08-31-2007 04:20 PM

Okay, I got a bizarre one here..........

(I did the new arcade.php file an hour after you uploaded a week or so ago)

Just recently, as in the last 2 days, random members on random games at random times, when they submit a score, the score gets submitted as a ZERO points score. But then they could try the same game later that day or the day before and it works fine. Really don't understand what's going on.

I haven't done any upgrades lately on anything at all. Barely even been in my AdminCP because I'm moving into a new house. So this has really just thrown me for a loop.

Any clue?

you were right, I uploaded them through my cpanel instead and it worked, thanks

mikeinjersey 09-01-2007 04:01 PM

does this mod come with Games aswell or do we have to pick and choose everything?

I'd rather just have the most popular and professional games installed...instead of messing around for days to find out which one are worth it and which ones arent. My forum layout is pretty professional..the last thing I want is some corny 1980's looking games in the arcade.

any info would be great.

Mikecp421 09-01-2007 05:33 PM

no but I can help you out if needed, PM me

edytwinky 09-02-2007 02:16 AM

Excellent mod!

edytwinky 09-02-2007 01:09 PM

Is it possible to change a users score in the CP Admin?

BellyBelly 09-03-2007 12:22 AM

Installed, very cool!!!

BellyBelly 09-03-2007 05:11 AM

I checked in the settings after having uploaded this and I have not set the scores to be pruned but it doesn't seem to be saving the higher scores from earlier today - the leader of the leaderboard has a lower score than the one this morning. Also some members are sayng this:

Quote:

"hmmmm everytime I beat the high score it logs me out & doesn't register the score..."

"when I go to the arcade & try to enter a game it says the administrator hasn't granted me access to this usergroup, then I have to log in again and it lets me in? Then it times out when I finish the game & doesn't record the score..."
Any ideas? Thanks :)

MotMann 09-03-2007 11:08 AM

What happened with the second arcade.php ?

I must use that one? Or is the zip file enough?

derrene 09-03-2007 12:30 PM

Was mach ich nun? Grund dafür ist das ich noch ein CMS einsetze.

Danke für deine Hilfe schon mal im voraus.
Und sorry ich kann kein Englisch vielleicht kann einer übersetzen?

Grüße derrene

Anybody know if this arcade work ok with vbSEO ? Do I have to adjust any settings with that if I add this mod?

and what about cheaters...are there certain games that are cheat proof? like how do the cheaters cheat..is there a way to catch em?

Id really appreciate it much if these could be answered.. as it'll determine whether or not im going to install this.

The support forums link is at the top of this thread. Your already registered on it! :)

Iskib 09-08-2007 04:14 AM

is there a way to set permission per category?

I looked at user permission, but it seems to set permission for all categories?

But to answer your question anyway since I'm taking up a posting block anyway..........

When in that permissions area for the categories, just like with vbadvanced and other similar mods, you hold the CTRL key down and click the individual categories you want that particular USERGROUP to have permissions to use, play, be banned from, etc.

If you need to break things up even more, you're going to need to create more usergroups in your vbulletin default infrastructure and then come back to this ARCADE block of the AdminCP and rearrange your permissions accordingly.

The permissions are set to be by USERGROUP

And just in case you are a newbie to the arcade, to get to this arcade permissions, go to.........

AdminCP>Arcade>Group Permissions

For any further questions or concerns with this, please use the support forums for this module that I linked to and also the link is in huge green lettering in the start-up post that loads on everyone of these pages you are looking at right now.

No need to reply to this in any manner, even to say thanks and tell me how great I am and how you've never met such a magnificent specimen of a man. Need to minimize the posts in this thread so ZeroPage can keep better track of things and get to helping me with my support questions.

Keep a cool stool and good luck!

now updated ;)

cache 09-12-2007 06:01 AM

I have installed the ibparcade on my site http://IJFG.com, it is great.
However when I added a few games a few minutes ago, I got the following errors:

Warning: fread() [function.fread]: Length parameter must be greater than 0 in /arcade/functions/tar.php on line 794

I have added many games in the past with no problems. This time I downloaded 6 games
from ibpro site, when I installed , I got the above error message. The 6 games are:

game_hammerthrowTAY
game_spbob_Sea_MonsterTh
game_3DPokerV32PC
game_batandmouse2JS
game_PolePositionJS
game_fifaworldcup2006Th

So what caused the problem?

Thanks.

2 things.

1. Use the support forum section for support on the arcade.
2. These are issues with the games themselves. Certain games when compiled by whomever compiled them to work, sometimes didn't make them truely universal. You'll find probably maybe 1 or 2 per 100 games are goofed and unusable.

FYI, a way around those goofed games is sometimes placing all the files in their proper location instead of using the automatic un-taring function and installing them manually. Info on how to do that if you don't know can be found in the support forums. Link is in the "creation post" of this thread.

(This forum section is about the arcade platform. Which is a platform to run games created by others all around the world. The creator of this arcade isn't responsible for or have much knowledge of what games are out there and who is making them and if they work or not. He just maintains the script that makes it possible to play these games. The working games that is.)

Edit that users name removing the ' ' ' from there name. Its causing issues and will do the same with other mods for vbulletin possibly.

After you do that. AdminCP>Arcade>Scoring Tools>Update Usernames to resort the mess and I think you will be good.

Please use the support forums instead of here in the future. Link is in HUGE green text in the starter post of this thread.

CMGU 09-12-2007 06:33 PM

Im getting this error all of a sudden when trying to view the arcade:

Code:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected '\"' in *******/lockoutgaming.net/arcade/functions/functions.php on line 56
