How do you reset everyone's points to zero?

I'm trying to do a mass giveaway for a group but they aren't given any points when i do it.. suggestions? also, i rebuilt the bitfields etc...it seems to work for the plain mass giveaway but not for groups

Found a BUG!
When trying to give gifts to users with a space in their name it says username not found in the database.

So users witha space in their name is not supported.

i get an error message and i don't know what to do:

Did you try reuploading the filies that the failures name?? That has helped ,e out of those error messages a lot!

This hack is truly amazing! I have some template issues but not that were your fault lol (custom) but I squeezed the code in and all is well except for color. I had to figure out the database error myself lol but renamed the tables and so far all is well! GREAT MOD!!! I've used serveral cash systems and this one is by far the best..a lil buggy but worth the trouble!!

What does this actually do??????

It be easier I think to list the stuff it doesnt do lol.

Users get points for posting, the can spend them in the store buying sticky threads making there post show bold, closing threads, unclosing them, lets them buy awaremess ribbons for theirs or others postbit, anslo little images to buy for postbit, it intergates with vbarcade AND/OR IBP arcade! The admin side is phonominal! I have used a few of these and always had to hack each feature separatly..This comes with a lotto system and much much more! Really its like 5 hacks it one!!

TIP! If you change the name of your currency from the default vbbux to lets say cashola. You have to change the database table to match! or you will get errors!


This is VERY easy to do for those you never altered tables! BAckup of corse, then go into your control panel (mine is cpanel) on your sever click on MySQL Databases, Scroll all the way to the bottom and you will see a link that says PHPMyAdmin Then on the next screen click databases, locate the database for your VB in the list click on it! Then a screen will come up with all your tables. Scroll down and look for the table that says VB3_users (VB3 is my prefix,yours maybe diff) Then follow the line over and click the little icon that says structures. Scroll down on that page and you will see one that says vbbux and one that says vbbank. where it says vbbux follow the line over to the little red pencil that says edit and click. Change the little block to what ever you will be naming your currency (example was cashola) then hit save...if you rename your vbbank. You must do the same for the vbbank table! IF YOU CHANGE THE NAME OF THE DEFAULT (in vb admin panel) YOU WILL GET ERRORS, to stop the errors you have to rename the tables to match. It is case sensitive!

Several of the items in vbPlaza have a setting of ("Can Change Always" default= No ) what is this for?

Also several of the items I have set to "Expires 7 Days after Purchase" do not expire... does "Can Change Always" have something to do with that?

I can not get points per character to work. When I do this I get zero points for posting. Is there somewhere else I need to set this up to work?

I cant set this in forums permissions as those are only for X points per post/reply etc I turned that off I only want Points per CHaracter typed.

The permissions are really complex on this lol...go to your forum manager and click edit down at the bottom you will see a whooooooole new row of permissions that have to selected on a per forum basis!

Does anyone know how to do them all at once! Id rather go back and change the couple that I want diff then to do them one by one!

Once again Is there a way to enable points per character? I turned everything else off to 0 and points per character to 0.02 per character and nothing. even if I chnage it to 1 nothing. Please explain.

One of my member groups cannot see the bank or purchase anything...have checked the usergroup settings..

they are a custom group...

Okay, I searched this thread and couldn't find an answer to this. When I go to Give Ribbons, it just brings me to the regular page to buy ribbons for yourself. What's wrong?

I have installed the hack, everything is working correctly, great job.

However, I meet a challenge. I wish my users can receive points when they have received reputations from someone. Currently, vbux will give points to users only when they give out reputation.

I would appreciate lots if someone could offer a solution for me. Thanks a lot in advance.

I have had a similar problem, but it was solved by making them a "Registered user" as a secondary usergroup

I've used an old class_dm_user.php file to try and get it working which usually fixes the problem but the error is still there.

hi i have a very small query, once the user is in vbplaza area they can see the list of items they can purchase with the description.., when i go into my ACP and try and write a few lines and save it, then only shows 10 lines..., to me it seems like its limited to how much i can write under the description, is there a way i can set it to infinite?

Also the bank ive disabled all decimal points to 0, the bank is set to acure intrest by 2% every 5 days its been only 2 days now, i went into check a user out and i saw: Next Interest: 1149514248 ? that means they will be paid that much at the end of the week?

wondering if there isnt a way to have a minimum word count before members start earning points from their posts.

The reason why i'm asking this is because I'm currently running a competition on my site and alot of people are making 2 and 3 word replies and earning points.
When i delete their posts the point are not deducted and I must manually do it.

I dont mind if they make a 2 or 3 word reply but I dont want them to earn points for it.

Anyone else think this is a valid point?

Look in the XML install file for the SQL commands. Should be in the user table somewhere...

you can prevent your users from making short posts...., like on my forum i have 10 words max they have to write something for it to post. Its in the posting settings...,
