Of the video sites already loaded onto PassiveVid, do any of them allow porn or fighting or anything else one might not want on a "G-Rated" forum? I ask cuz I only recognize about four of those sites!

EDIT: I just noticed a bit of a problem. I was creating a "how-to" thread on this new hack and I wanted to post a sample URL like this...

Code:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CpWtq-haaCQ
But with the CODE wraps it doesn't show the URL text, it actually embeds the video in a tiny lil box! Kinda weird!

The other thing that happens is any text added after the URL wrapped in the [code] wraps, disappears! I created a test post here.

This text, "Trying to use [code] wraps around URL." is actually typed in after the closing /CODE but as you can see, it's not showing up!

I'm having trouble now limiting the videos to just these two sections on the forum...

Code:

http://www.pc101.com/forum/f146/  - Video Tutorials

http://www.pc101.com/forum/f147/ - Fun videos

There's a place in the hack where you are supposed to put the number of the forum you'll allow videos and then those become the ONLY areas where the hack will work. Well... I put in f146,f147 and then tried 146,147 but I'm still able to post videos in all areas of the forum. Please advise.

Thanks! ;)

Anyone know how to remedy this issue?

I'm using VBSEO which is why I guess the forums are numbered the way they are.

Thanks.

why cant we add our own code for different sites?

Is it necessary to touch the code verytime?

Can there be a way to store all such things in database.
For eg. i know that for
dailymotion
URL =
Code:

http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x3p6tf_vaada_music
and all we need to know is "x3p6tf"

We Just need to know these 6 words.
We can then embed the video by simply replacing the code bellow

<div><object width="420" height="365"><param name="movie" value="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x3p6tf"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.dailymotion.com/swf/x3p6tf" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="365" allowFullScreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always"></embed></object>

Hello i have a question about this mod,

How can i make the videos look sleek when posted like in the old version??

eg:

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/9370/sleekzz5.jpg

Now with the new version it looks like this:

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/7494/frameon6.jpg

I tried replacing the code in the passiveVid Settings:

<div style="text-align: center; margin: 20px;">
<table summary="table" class="tborder" align="center" border="0" cellpadding="6" cellspacing="1" width="1" style="margin: auto;">
<thead>
<tr>
<td class="tcat" colspan="2"><a href="http://$PASSIVEURL" target="_blank">$PASSIVETITLE</a></td>
</tr>
</thead>
<tbody>
<tr>
<td class="alt1">$PASSIVEEMBED</td>
</tr>
</tbody>
</table>
</div>

For the old one:

<div style='font-weight: bold;'>$PASSIVETITLE</div>
<div>$PASSIVEEMBED</div>

but it still looking like this:

http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/5373/afterik1.jpg

.... Anybody could please tell me how to do this?
Thanks in advance.

In the passiveVid options panel in admin CP?

Enable custom replacement? <---- click NO and it will stop that.
