I'm getting the "Cannot Connect to Database" message as well...

However, when I go to http://www.my.site.com/forums/alice/src/talk.html
and type something in, it gives me a proper response..

I got it working very nicely on www.masonictalk.com (http://www.novusordosaeculorum.com/w...son-t1727.html)

But

1) it still posts before my post
2) How can we teach it?

I am currently looking into a new learning system that is easier for people to setup.

It's working great, but I had to disable it. It gave me a no database connect error and also gave me a time out soon as i hit the post button. I then checked back, it made a post, but said could not connect to data base. I disabled it for now and yes, everything is 777. What is causing this? It seems like it can't hook to my database.

i cnt get this to work., have most files 777 but still wont work get internal error and when i do it on forum ig et saying could not connect to databse so decided to uninstall till i can get help

This is really a great program I think. It seems that a few people have complained about this particular error and yes, everything is 777. I saw the guy above my other posting has his working fine.

1) How do we teach it about a specific topic?
2) Will the newer version undo all the chats we had with the system?

got it working on a different server but it is still posting before our posts......any fix for that here?
