One mysql error in the Mgc Chat evo:

Ok, The error is in a Table of Database, I reinstalled that Table and All Ok.

Improvement suggestion:

smilie pop up: give it the same look as default smilie pop up.
Meaning add the phrase "Click a smilie to insert it into your message." below page title and organize smilies in categories.

Right now you are unable to determine which category they belong to and you are not able to change smilie display order by changing the display order of the smilie categories.

im installing MGC Chatbox Evo into 3.7.4

in my styles directory do i just enter the folder titled 'images'?

do you know anything about the following instruction

2/ Upload the content of the "Images" directory in each of your forum styles directories

does this mean everything in the 'images' file?

MGC Chatbox Evo>images>misc>?????

This should be exactly what you want, isn't it ? :)

In case of a complete data loss, backup would be that installing the Chatbox again, getting the tables created and then re-import the Chatbox Tables Backups - everything without a complete DB import.

Oh - and - I really never had a large timeout ;) I'm personally using a Master -> Slave replication on a very small backup server and from there again to my local home network.

Back to topic - like said - Backups of the Chatbox can already be done without doing a complete backup of the board DB via AdminCP, adding such a feature would maybe result in a more complex script and we all know - the more complex something is, the more hard it is to have it clean of any hidden bugs.

But - if the developer wants to add such a function, no problem as well :)

Are you sure your Database is ok and that the install process went fine ?

Looks like this table is completely missing or gone. If it exists, maybe do a "Repair" run

Sounds good. Hey BTW I was gonna mention this the other day but I completely forgot about it. When viewing my forum on an iPhone, for some reason the chatbox scroll bars don't show up. Any Ideas?

Bug found. You are unable to use " in a private message to someone through the chat box. When you do so, the message won't send.

I added this to my file as required "var SECURITYTOKEN = "0";"
and I still get the missing security token message...

I am running vb 3.7.4 patch level 1 and have also tried "var SECURITYTOKEN = 0;" which someone else suggested. We also only use one skin.

This is a fresh install of the chatbox as I uninstalled the old version.

I would really like to get this working soon.

Thanks for the feed back, However I only put the "var SECURITYTOKEN="0"" in because we got the message that the security token was missing...

I have taken it out again, per your message and we still get the exact same message that we are missing the security token. Anything else I can try?

I uninstalled and removed every mgc file I could find and then did a complete reinstall ensuring that every file in the files folder was coppied tothe forumns directory. I moved all of the images to the standard images folder as well as my greenskin images folder.

I still get the missing security token message when I try to post in the chat box...

Any other ideas?

I'm clicking on the arrow, selected "Send private chat" and added the " in the chat. It never sends the message.

Small feature request by the way.. Is it possible you can add it so people can't spam the chat box? having a "line per minute" rule? So people are forced to edit their own chats?

well it is not just me, none of my users or admins can get it to work.... I am at a loss. I have uploaded the latest files, all of them and still it gives me the error:

None has experienced such issues.
Only thing that could cause such problem :

The js files are not up-to-date
You have a modified version of the mgc_cb_evo template which is not reverted
Your browser cache is not refreshed (same for all of your users)
