Hrm it seems if we click on the "New Posts" bustton on the navbar we get this error:
Code:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /home/rpgbugs/www/www/search.php(2858) : eval()'d code on line 82 I notice when I edit, search_results and save it, it gives me this error: "The following error occurred when attempting to evaluate this template: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_ENCAPSED_AND_WHITESPACE, expecting T_STRING or T_VARIABLE or T_NUM_STRING in /www/www/includes/adminfunctions_template.php(3537) : eval()'d code on line 79 This is likely caused by a malformed conditional statement. It is highly recommended that you fix this error before continuing, but you may continue as-is if you wish." Any ideas? |
I'm not sure what I did wrong...
|
Revert your search_results Template and do your modifications again.

Hiya,
This is a fantastic modification. I was wondering if there is a plan to add an option to the inline moderation to apply a prefix to all selected posts? This would save a lot of time when you have a lot of threads before installing this hack. |
Hi!
Nice hack! Can someone tell me how I can add the Prefixes to vBadvanced CMPS v2.0.0 that it shows the Prefix in a table in Recent Threads ? Would be very kind of you. |

I've installed but the prefixes are not showing up when creating a new thread, i've gone over the files and templates twice and still cannot figure out what's going wrong? I'm able to make the prefix show up by editing the thread, but it just wont show up upon creation of a new thread.
I double checked the settings in vbulletin options and forum manager but nothing. :( Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong? Thanks |
Check your newthread template again. Be sure to edit the correct style.
|
Okay, I rechecked the newthread template for the original style I was working on and still nothing.
Then I did the template edits to a different style and I'm still getting the same problem, no prefix appears when creating a new thread..BUT it does show if you edit the thread after. I really wanna use this but I don't know wtf is going wrong, please help me. :cross-eyed: |
Thank you Mystics great!:D
Install The only problem is I'm getting 3 error messages (Screenshot) on my board when I view a thread? Any Ideas? Thanks for any help :) |
@Nathan2006
Try it with a new style and do the template modifications again. Also re-do the changes within the *.js files. @dippin' low If you send me an admin account via pm, I will take a look. |

I redid the js file and the error is now gone:D Thanks again for your help  |
Hey, works GREAT, but when I view the 'online.php' it gives me this error...
Code:
Database error in vBulletin 3.5.4: |

I noticed any threadstarter can add/edit the prefix.
Is there a way/setting to only make the mods able to add/edit prefixes ? And could it be possible to use images in the future ? |
there is a mistake i have but i don't find it
when edit forum display... look screenshot and there is my forum display template Code:
$stylevar[htmldoctype] |
Your threadbit Template is not correct.
|
re-installing again now
|
done!! working fine
thx |
Awesome! Thank you very much, this is exactly what we needed. Installed and working on my test forums. Will do the production ones after I have some sleep :D
|
Does vb.org use this?
|
Can you make it so that certain prefixes can only be used by admins?
|
now all I need to know is if this is going to be 3.6 compatable.
|
I have two questions and or requests for the great mod.
I would like to be able to click on the prefix next to the thread display and edit or change it based on permisions, without going into the edit mode for the whole post or thread, like a popup AJAX function. ALso I would like to rename it from Prefix to somthing else. Right now If i use a replacement variable, it works, but you can no longer edit them as it breaks the edit functions. -Daniel |
I'd like to be able to click on the thread prefix, and have only threads show up with that prefix - just like using the prefix display option. Is there an easy way to do that?
Also, I did the template edits but the thread title and author somehow got place between the forum title and the headings for the thread inside of forumdisplay.php. I've already tried re-editing the forumdisplay.php template with on success. This was on 3.5.4, any ideas? Thanks! |
Will this hack soon available for vBulletin 3.6 ?

Why not?
|
where are the template edit instructions? I don't seem to see them in the zip file?
|
Quote:
Code:
www.yourdomain.com/forum/admincp/prefixinstall.php You need to make all them changes after pointing to prefixinstall.php |
ah- ok, i was under the impression that the prefixinstall.php file was strictly a script handling tables, etc- most hacks have the template edits in the text file w/ instructions. Thanks!
|
Any ideas if this works or will be upgraded for 3.6?

Mystics.
I need some template assistance. Im trying to take out the cell (prefix) in my search results and daily topics. If I do not do the search_results template edit, it gets messed up. If I make the template change I still get the prefix cell, in my results. I dont want it at all there. What do I do? |
