Installed the hack, looks interesting, but I seem to have problems with it..
When I look in users, my name.. it shows me that i'm an s-admin (at the adv. editing options).
But when I edit a post, the only extra option I get is:

Advanced Options
.... or above can edit this post!

that's all, so I can select who can edit the post etc, but all the other options do not show up... any ideas? :)

What exactly do you mean by "...."?

It only shows the option to select which usergroup may edit the message, all the other functions arent there. the ... stands for the options that you have in that drop down box.

The other options only show up for admins and superadmins.

Is it by chance compatable with 3.5.3 ?

If I leave the field empty and i've saved the post, the post has no author.

Optionally adjustable in ACP, which name should be used, if the field is left empty (default guest or unregistered).

- ability to remove 'edited by ...' from users posts.

- ability to add 'edited by ...' in specific posts for usergroups who do not have 'edited by' showing by default.

hehe because we want to check out the features in a live environment and nag the developers for improvements in any functionalities of said features before it's too late ;)

Also they are hinting that the next release might be RC.

Nonetheless I'll hold off till you advise, as this addon is too important.

admincp folder renamed to something else (and set in vbulletins config.php) and yes, I put the advedit_users.php into the renamed admincp folder :)

works perfectly on 3.6, the only thing i dont like is the placement of the edit options on the post edit window, but that only took a quick change to move it further down. Also, on 3.6 the templates are slightly different, but, its still fairly easy to find where to make the template changes.

installed it - 5 minutes work. haven't really tested every detail but seems to work in 3.6.1 ;)

Installed it quickly on vB 3.6.1 but I can't render posts to be older than 2004.

Upgraded to 3.6.2 and have found that I can no longer go into an advanced edit on posts. Could this be related to this hack? I reverted the editpost template again, to no avail.

Edit: I reverted all three templates, and disabled all products, and still have this problem.

This works fine on 3.6.2 - reverting the templates isn't going to help as the hack involves adding a variable to them, if you don't do the template edit then you're not going to get the AEO options appear.
