darkworld is correct and I gripped about this a page back. I must have ESP.

Look, the job of this or any thread is to inform the people who read it. I don't know much about John or v3arcade but it has been mentioned earlier in this thread in the context of the type of game files that might or might work with ibproarcade.

Now, you have to presume that a substantial number of the 7000+ views this thread has attracted have been people generally interested in installing an arcade, as opposed to rabid fanboys who could give a damn who made the particular arcade. Apparently MrZeropage's will be the best and that's great, we will all benefit but it hasn't yet been released and if someone else's release is imminent, well, that's going to be of interest to all those who are generally researching arcade options.

As a rule, judge these matters from the perspective of the average user rather than sycophants who's main aim in life is to ingratiate themselves sufficiently to get put on the next list of beta-testers.

Most of all though, don't slam Paul or anyone who posts actual information rather than yet another "oh God, I can't wait, when will it be released?" post.

MrZeropage 10-29-2005 04:59 AM

All vBulletin-Administrators should have learned from the former v3arcade-"support" which qualities John brings along concerning support, updates, availability or just information about further development. He was absent from his project/site for weeks, posted one single post and faded away again, that was the main cause for the dead of v3arcade 1.0.3 when he closed the forum and thus the support and game-releases.

Anyway, this really is no topic for here, right !

Everyone should wait for both Arcade's to be finished and test them both, I think all of you will do their own RIGHT decision :)

If's not the questions who is first, but who is best ;) :D

Ask PS3. :P

So I better wait for ur release insted of trying to patch my actual arcade to VB 3.5? In the ibproarcade forums are some tweaks to get it work in 3.5 but I'm not sure how really compatible is.

I would advise waiting, this release has some nice features :)

Hello, Are you asleep. It is a simple moderation rules. Don't cloud a thread with information that should be in a another thread.

I am glad to here that someone is working to have a games migration. Really that is a different subject.

However I came to the thread to read on development of Ibpro. Not trying to get into who is the best debate. That would be a different thread,

I don't generally jump into a thread like this and my apologies to the ones that created the thread. I won't reply on it again.

donnacha 10-29-2005 01:59 PM

TCS, you clearly aren't too bright, so, I'll try to make this simple. In a thread discussing an upcoming release, the following are among the many subjects directly relevant:

1. The project itself.

2. The way in which the mod will integrate with other mods.

2. Other projects with similar aims.

For instance, in the thread discussing linking Calendar events with threads, it is directly relevant to mention a project that integrates RSVP functionality into Calendar events. Only a moron would complain that such a mention polluted the "purity" of the thread. Instead, seasoned users and developers would recognise that it helps to at least be aware of such things.

soniceffect 10-29-2005 02:05 PM

EXCUSE ME PEOPLE

Can I just point out that the only people who are destroying this thread at the moment are the people +++++ing about each others opinions ... This thread was opened by Mr Zeropage with the sole intention of it being a thread for discussing the arcade he is building, so can we all please leave the childish arguements that have gone way past there sell by date, and both have equally relevant arguements anyway!!!!!

Sorry, but I hate sitting watching peoples threads being destroyed by people moaning and the thread being destroyed, by someone who is moaning about another post and so on and so forth, so can we just leave the "Your not too bright/your in the wrong" discussion please..

Mr Zeropage ..... How`s RC3 goin :)

MrZeropage 10-30-2005 01:38 PM

No discussion about other hacks anymore :)

RC4 is in development, having all bugs fixed that were found, so this probably could be the "gold" version ... I am on vacation this week but continue working on my notebook, hope to get verything done for the next weekend

...the reference to PS3 was nice indeed *gg*

Neutral Singh 10-30-2005 02:44 PM

I have not followed the whole thread, i would like to know: In the new version, would there be a feature of sending an email to the person whose score has been beaten? Thanks

:P anyway thanks for letting us know the status, enjoy your vacation and just remember those of us who are constantly lurking for any new news on the arcade... While your enjoying the sun and sand...

Wordplay 10-30-2005 08:10 PM

mr zero, you must've noticed that i've been a fan of this project ever since the discussion started, and have been talking people out of getting v3arcade and going with this. just out of curiousity... why isn't you never considered me to test an rc release? i'd just like to know so i know where i went wrong. i mean not for german not for english, you never even replied to any of the posts i made. which is almost hurtful. however harsh your comment is, i wont mind... i'm just dying to know.

Dude, not even people who contributed to the original 3.5 port have been accepted. (That would be me, by the way.)

Don't feel bad, it's probably not a personal thing. :)

MrZeropage 10-31-2005 03:38 PM

Yes, it is no personal thing, I just randomly picked the testers :)

I promise to send both of you the RC4 for final tests, everything is proceeding well.

@Neutral Singh:
Yes, there is a notification via PM, so everybody can select if he even wants to be noticed of new PMs via Email ;)
And this notification can be switched on/off per user (NEW in RC4) in the Arcade Settings.

Arved Yagami 11-01-2005 09:45 PM

An estimated date of release? My forum members are crazy about the Arcade stuff, they want know. :P

Very good mod, better than the V3Arcade. =)

Snake 11-02-2005 06:57 AM

Yeah it has been 2 weeks now so I guess it's all done now. :)

MrZeropage 11-02-2005 07:23 AM

RC4 is finished, just start finalizing and spreading it within the next 48 hours I think...

And if there are no more bugs found, this will turn to the final RELEASE :)

Snake 11-02-2005 07:39 AM

What a great news for today! :D

After reviewing some of the coding im not happy @ all to see this..

Code:

// popup by MrZeropage
//

Zero why would u say you wrote the popup? Which you didnt. I think its wrong that you taking credit for somethang you didnt write.

Arved Yagami 11-04-2005 04:47 AM

Can I be a Beta Tester? I can translate the phrases and php files to spanish. =)

Maybe he wrote his own code for it? ;)

Snake 11-04-2005 08:43 PM

Boofo's right. ;)

Paul_Hollibone 11-04-2005 09:27 PM

I am lost. Would someone care to explain why someone is accusing Mr ZeroPage for "Stealing" a popup script, even though it clearly says Mr ZeroPage?

jbd 11-04-2005 09:32 PM

Looking forward to featuring this hack on my site, Gamesforum.com. By the way, for anyone interested in games:

http://www.gamesforum.com/images/winapsp.gif

;)

Would be more than happy to betatest this also.

B/c he didnt, I wrote the code and its the exact samethang. I also hate to burst your bubble, hes still using ibp files for the arcade.

I`m persuming you must be a beta tester since you have access to the code he is using?

What ibp files would these be exactly? Not being funny but this guy is workin hard to try and re-create an excellent hack created by ibp hackers including yourself, I would have thought you would be happy that your coding is not going to waste and in fact being used..... Although if the naming has been changed I can understand your annoyance and it should be given credit to the original coders
