does this hack work fine with vb 3.0.3? no need to change any directions on the installation?

venomx 09-06-2004 09:35 PM

Worked great here... :)
Though I have yet to run into the error warlord is getting...

I'm on 3.0.3 and it works fine for me, except for that one error. But I'm hoping that's something I did and is an easy fix for someone who knows this hack a bit better than I do.

Probably the only thing I don't like about this portal is that adding modules isn't as user friendly as some others I've seen, but I'm sure I'll get used to it.

SamirDarji 09-07-2004 10:07 PM

I'm running it on my 3.0.3 test server with no problems.

In your /forum/includes/functions_calendar.php file
Find:
PHP Code:

function construct_calendar_output($today$usertoday$calendarinfo$fullcalendar 0$weekrange '')
{
    global
$birthdaycache$eventcache$bbuserinfo$vbphrase$stylevar$show$offset$colspan$days$months$show

Replace it with:
PHP Code:

function construct_calendar_output($today$usertoday$calendarinfo$fullcalendar 0$weekrange '')
{
    global
$birthdaycache$eventcache$bbuserinfo$vbphrase$stylevar$show$offset$colspan$days$months$vba_options$vboptions

In vB 3.0.3 the functions_calendar.php is different, what would I do instead?

venomx 09-07-2004 10:17 PM

What I did was compare the 2 and made the changes....

SamirDarji 09-08-2004 05:08 AM

Hmm...I didn't remember having a problem there.

mholtum 09-08-2004 06:15 AM

I didnt have any problems either.. Weird

venomx 09-08-2004 06:23 AM

I forget if it had it or if it was in a different spot but the problem is the $show in the find part....

tteal 09-09-2004 07:06 PM

I installed this and am getting the following error on the cmps_index.php page:

Call to undefined function: print_portal_output()

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

BTW, I'm running vBulletin 3.03

Tks.

Quelyn 09-09-2004 07:42 PM

In /includes/functions_calendar.php, looking for this one :)

PHP Code:

function construct_calendar_output($today$usertoday$calendarinfo$fullcalendar 0$weekrange '')
{
    global
$birthdaycache$eventcache$bbuserinfo$vbphrase$stylevar$show$offset$colspan$days$months

and replace it as the instruction says ;)

In my active user's block when you click on a user name inside there it takes you to "http://www.example.com/member.php?u=1" instead of "http://www.example.com/forum/member.php?u=1" anyone got any idea's how to fix this?

AnhTuanCool 09-10-2004 10:37 PM

Change your Forum URL in Site Name / URL / Contact Details in vb options to your forumroot dir ;)

???`S?LV?R???` 09-10-2004 10:45 PM

I already have that done...;) and it doesnt make much sense why the other blocks on the homepage don't do that... only "active users" does

Neutral Singh 09-11-2004 08:27 AM

Brilliant Hack !!!!!

gfxhavenowner 09-11-2004 10:07 PM

Love this portal, just one question. How would I get the actions to populate for uShop when on a portal page?

pip_9 09-14-2004 04:27 PM

Hey,
just a quick question, I am not sure if this is just on my site, or on all sites. When you visit the forum after being on a custom page, your blocks go. Is there anyway of keeping them there?
Phil

ok this is my problem.

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/kakashi/public_html/main.php
Line: 7

I got it to work on my other browser but i get the Error on IE... so almost all my viewers would see that error.

The thing is i made the portal inside my site layout and i have my own set of meta tags... but i have no idea why its saying it can't set cookies..(when i remove line 7 there is still the error :/)

DoKoK 09-15-2004 04:04 AM

Does this work with 3.0.3 ?

SamirDarji 09-15-2004 04:42 AM

I am using it here http://www.ravensrealm.net

DoKoK 09-15-2004 07:29 PM

Great,

I installed it now but I want to try the other 2 portal hacks here.

How do I unistall it safely and succesfully?

Just remove the files I added?

Itachi009 09-15-2004 08:28 PM

Yo stick with this one.. cause this is the advanced of the other one. And the other one isn't as easy to turn stuff off and reconfigure without going into the code and deleting stuff. TRUST ME.. i just got done using the others... this one is the best in my opinon...

still have this lil problem:
Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/kakashi/public_html/main.php
Line: 7

http://unlimitedgamer.net/main.php?id=cmps_index.php

unless your running firefox you prolly see the error else it looks fine.

DoKoK 09-15-2004 08:57 PM

At the moment I want to uninstall it.

Itachi009 09-16-2004 12:56 AM

well then i think if you just rerun the install file it will ask you if you want to reinstall or un-install

akirauk 09-16-2004 08:17 AM

has anyone got this working with the ambience skin?

rockyou 09-16-2004 09:56 AM

I'm running vB 3.0.3 and installded vbadvancedCMPS 1.0.0 but when I login, error :
Code:

Unable to add cookies, header already sent.
File: /home/loner/public_html/forum/global.php
Line: 696

Can you help me ?

Warlord 09-18-2004 02:26 AM

Just realized my little calendar doesn't show up on the homepage? Any ideas?

SamirDarji 09-19-2004 09:23 AM

Check to see your calendar is enabled and check the permissions.

venomx 09-22-2004 02:04 PM

I moved to a new server and the cmps_index.php stopped working. It just shows a blank page. :(
The chdir is correct and I have reinstalled the templates and phrases. Nothing seems to fix it. :(

Blam Forumz 09-25-2004 07:35 AM

My forum name is Blam Forums, but on cmps_index.php is says "Blaminator", how do I change that?

G3MM4 09-25-2004 08:56 AM

Can someone help a n00b to set this up please?

cmps pulls info like that from the vb options (I believe), so I'd check there for a setting with "Blaminator" in it.

Check out vbadvanced.com for a complete installation manual.

???`S?LV?R???` 09-26-2004 04:46 PM

For some reason In the navbar it's not saying my forum's name next to the little folder, but it still does on my forum page, just not on the homepage. Anyone know what's wrong or how to fix this?

macker123 09-28-2004 06:06 PM

I seem to be getting the following error when I try to run the install script and same error when I goto my forum now:

Parse error: parse error, unexpected T_CONSTANT_ENCAPSED_STRING in /home/myphotos/public_html/forum/includes/functions.php on line 1887

I have triple checked(literally), every single piece of code I was supposed to insert and it is all correct. I have also uploaded the files twice, with 2 different FTP programs to make sure they were uploaded correctly.

Can someone please help me solve this issue.

It should work fine... you may have to tweak the links in your header & footer to be qualified though (eg: instead of "register.php" you'll need to change it to "$vboptions[bburl]/register.php", etcetra).

jpt62089 10-03-2004 07:57 AM

I have my VBa at my main URL and my forums in /forums and all the links and images are all screwed up! how can I fix this?
