Euhm, i WAS planning to install HTL, cause the idea sounded nice.

Then i browsed a bit through the full rls hacks (old forum style) and found that on the newest 2 pages (50 rls's) only 2 ! used HTL :(

Then i visit here and i see KuraFire no longer posts here....

That was a bad decision. Detaching himself from this forum doesn't give me good hopes for the future and support of this hack.

Edit, i shouldn't say yes, i mean you can import hacks into it, but you would need the permission of the original Author of the hack you would like to import. ;)

Maybe I am mistaken, but did I not read somewhere that this hack can be used to do a vbb3 upgrade? I would love to install the vbb3 Gold on my site, but I do not want to have to reinstall all the hacks I have installed on it.

Can this hack be used to tell me what to change in my RC4 code to make it the same as 3.0 Gold?

As far as i know, for the time being, he is not offering support here. as far as i know, he is only offering support for this there. For the time being.

All you have to do is sign up, it's a fast process. and if you never post there after this question is answered. that's ok.
i just suggested this because he hasn't logged in here, nor posted in this thread for a bit.

I runt he set up and stuff and on step 2 where all the phrases are being imported, it doesn't do anything and I see no button to continue to step 3/5 so i can't finish installing this. The database step woroked fine but the phrase step just won't work. I uploaded everything right including the hack file in binary, what's wrong with this? I want to set up that litestats back.

I tried asking this on thier supposed support forum, but apparently they don't visit thier forum that often so here is my question. I believe your HTL created the second "hack menu" in the cp. Well if where going to have a second menu for hacks then I'd like all the hacks installed be in this menu. So far it shows HTL an the vBtrader. The arcade hack menu is placed in the standard menu,so my question is where do I put the arcade menu code so it shows up in the second "hacks menu"? Thanks for your help, this stuff gets complicated.

That hack menu is only for HTL hakcs.
The arcade isn't htl hence that and all other non htl hacks won't show in that menu.
In fact your admin cp doesn't even "know" you have the arcade or other non htl hacks installed. So you can't get it in there.

Actually they did reply to this on thier forum. Turns out it was easier than I thought, didn't have to edit any code. All you have to do is "Add Hack" with what info you have, then their is an option to creat/edit the menu links for it. So yes you can... now we all know.

need to add the code in the install step for the adminCP.

If you run the installer again, and select Test Run. The necessary file edits are in step 6 of the installer. there are three, make sure you did all of them. :)

admincp/index.php

It should be right below the vbulletin options, 2nd menu item.

But try to refresh your admincp, or log out and log back in.

I couldn't find mine either untill i refreshed, then it appeared :D

It's fixed. I know what I did now. I had installed another hack after HTL and used a fresh copy of /admincp/index.php and not the one I had updated with the HTL code.

Ok I'm going nuts. I d/l this directly to my server and copied the files over and when I try to run the install I get the following error;

Fatal error: Failed opening required './includes/adminfunctions_hacklog.php' (include_path='.:/php/includes') in /home/wolfpack/web/forums/admincp/install_htl.php on line 39

I'm in step 2 "Insert Hack Phrases (Step 2 of 5)" of installation. However, there is not a button what-so-ever to continue. It just tells me
"Current Step: Insert Hack Phrases:
This step inserts all the new phrases for the Hack Tracking Log. It creates one new phrase group on the language table, phrasegroup_hacklog, and inserts a selection of phrases into existing vBulletin Phrase Groups (such as error phrases, etc)."

How am I supposed to continue to the next step? Is something wrong on my end or something?

Yep. I had the same error as GovGaming and milkmycow, it seems to not include any way to reach the next step after "Insert Hack Phrases" if you've already had HTL installed once before and are reinstalling it after upgrading VB [like I am now from 3.0.0 to 3.0.1]. Luckily for me, I'm doing a sort of psuedo clean install, so I can afford to drop my current language, phrase and phrasetype tables and insert the original ones - which did the trick for me.

Though, for future upgrades a fix would be nice. :)

Deleting all the tables HTL uses in the mySQL database should fix that.

Same problem here. I've tried to delete hack and hacklog- table and the HTL-related phrases in language before trying to re-innstall. With no luck. :(

people who are having problems with step 2:

assuming you've uploaded all the files, go to:
www.yoursite.com/forum/admincp/hackadmin.php

Then you should see a list of hacks that you've installed using hack tracking log, including the hack tracking log itself.

Click on "Edit Hack Details" and choose "Edit Steps". Then click "Modify: File and Template edits" and edit the necessary files. You DO NOT need to do anything else.

This is for people upgrading from vB RC to Gold / 3.0.1

Damn, I must be dumb or something. I'm trying to convert Beermonster's hack (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthrea...972#post502972) and I'm to the point where I generate the Phrases XML. The temp file is located in /forums/bannerphrases.php. The contents of the file are:

Whenever I use the XML Utilities "Create an XML File for your Hack Section" I put in:

Locate your temporary...? ./forums/bannerphrases.php
Select Style: Standard Style Renamed to mine

For the Locate question, I have tried full path, forums/bannerphrases.php and /forums/bannerphrases.php (which shouldn't work anyhoo) and they are giving me

No Temporary Phrases Found errors and No XML Files designated errors. Of course, this is my first time trying to "write" a hack for HTL so what am I doing wrong?

Well now when I click on "Hacks Menu" nothing happens in the right frame. It stays where it was previously. I can always type in "/hackadmin.php" manually, but still..
