This mod makes our forums extremely slow.....only disabling it via the plugin manager resolves the problem. Even turning it off via the DBTech admin panel doesnt help....

If you don't change the settings right it will do that

I experienced this as well. Best to sign up for the installation service provided by DragonByte as they will make sure it is done right. I actually had improvements in site performance after it was installed.

I have a separate question. What results can we expect from adding this mod and generally how long does it take?

I know that is very much an "it depends" answer, but can anyone provide some perspectives on what results they have gotten from installing it? Does DragonByte also wish to respond?

I would like to know:

- If the vbseo importer imports ALL the settings configured in vbseo: rewrite urls (cms, forum, blogs, custom 301, custom rewrites,...), the stopwords, relevant replacements, character replacements,... Or only some of them.

Thanks

Install XCache or APC on your server, and configure the vB Datastore setting in the config.php file.

It will import all settings for all features it supports. Currently there is no Relevant Replacements feature. You should compare the feature list and try it on a test forum before purchasing, to make sure it does what you need :)

strange problem when using xcache
I also use DB optimise and use Xcache as opcode
also use Xcache as datastore 'vB_Datastore_XCache'

when DBTech SEO is On,
the xcache.var_size got full after 1 hour only (I have set it 1G)
and the var data have about 500,000 var like this

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1401807350

that is my Xcache config

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/attachmen...1&d=1401807660

when I disable DBSEO, that var not created, and not full my xcache.var_size and every thing is fine

Note: when I disable the DBSEO, and reload php-fpm+nginx then enable DBSEO
working fine for while, (not create that lot of vars), but after some hours its create it again

Note: used APC for 3 days, with apc.shm_size=4G , its got full also without know the reason, thats why I moved to Xcache, and found this strange problem

DragonByte Tech 06-03-2014 02:01 PM

That is not a problem, that is the modification working as intended :)

This mod will cache every single URL it has rewritten, to significantly reduce the processing time if the same non-SEO'd URL is ever found anywhere else :)

RPSmedia 06-04-2014 01:59 AM

I'm getting this error now:

Database error in vBulletin 4.2.2:

Invalid SQL:
DELETE FROM adminutil WHERE title = 'dbtech_dbseo_sitemapsession';

ramesh_umk3 06-04-2014 07:08 AM

you should take little time to read previous replies. Just increase your timeout and memory limit if you dont have access you can tell your host to do that

Thanks, I've done that. I'm not sure if this new error is related is why I'm asking.

I'm using XCache, do you recommend the use of Garbage Collector for variables? If so, how much time for Garbage Colector sleep? or should I deactivate it and let Vars forever?

Bob_R 06-05-2014 12:28 AM

In GWT, add "dbseositemap.php", like so: http://www.dragonbyte-tech.com/dbseositemap.php :)

I don't have much experience with the GC in XCache so I couldn't say, sorry :(

Thanks. :)

We currently do not have a Nginx testing environment, so we cannot provide official Nginx rules at this time. We'll be looking into this for the future :)

Forums which are inaccessible to guests are excluded automatically :)

Quick question. I built the sitemap but when clicking on the site www.site.com/dbseositemap.php ( of course site being my own ) all i get is a download /xml that says This XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below. and a bunch of stuff below it.
Isnt the site supposed to show a graph or something alike?

No, it is working correctly.

You can check out DB Tech's own sitemap link posted above and see that it is working the same as yours is.

Terrablade 06-09-2014 09:55 AM

hmm.. I thought there was a graphic or like an information page showing the stats it gathered. :/

Well, I would like to use this SEO but I'm not a coder and when I install it I get broken avatars on the site. Its looks like a good mod. I will keep looking for a SEO.

DragonByte Tech 06-09-2014 12:40 PM

Try turning off avatar rewrites in the DBSEO CP for this mod :)

Fillip

Dilldogs 06-09-2014 12:54 PM

Ive gone through every setting in the ddseo cp and do not see a Avatar rewrite option. see Avatar Prefix. and thats it

You must of not looked to hard, it's under forum url settings.

Dilldogs 06-09-2014 12:58 PM

I found it thank you. Will set it up.

Dilldogs 06-09-2014 01:13 PM

OK, I have a question: Why when I turn it on and I go to the homepage and I click on the forum tab it stays on the homepage?

I turn off the SEO it works fine. Is there another setting for this?

Disco_Dave 06-09-2014 01:20 PM

Have you added the code to your .htaccess file?

Dilldogs 06-09-2014 01:25 PM

Nope but I will see if I can figure out the code and work it out...lol.

This mod will not work until you place that in a htaccess file.... You get all the needed info with this mod, in the download folder..

Dilldogs 06-09-2014 03:53 PM

OK, Well that didn't work. I tried adding the codes to the .htaccess file and it didn't work. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Thanks for your help but like I said I'm not a coder so I give up.

Dilldogs 06-10-2014 09:54 PM

Is there anyone that can help me figure this out?
