Well, you can take a look at this picture:

This explains pretty much everything you want to know (and it is for lite version AFAIK).

So, you can set it up so only certain usergroups could buy and/or sell, depending on your settings. And that's not all, you can create certain categories of products that can be invisible to regular users and visible to those you want.

Maybe the best way for you to found out what this mod does is to install free version on your test site and play a bit with it.

thanks mate for your very nice sugestion but i already played around with permision and still certain usergroups have access but they will end up with a message you dont have permission to access this page.what im looking is just to hide it..maybe they will include this to version 2.

Is Banned Group? should completely disable access to this mods features for this usergroup if set to yes.

I'm not quite sure what you want to achieve, but if you set everything right in your opinion and things still don't work, first step I would do is to ask DBTech on their forum, explain what you did and what actually happens. Maybe there's a bug and if there is, they would promptly solve it as soon as they knew about it.

An issue was discovered with the "Set Exchange Rates" scheduled task.

Just did an install, went through the configuration, and am trying my first test ad. When I go to manage attachments and try to "Add a File", it failed after clicking the "Upload Files" button:(

I looked through the configuration to try and find something, but did not. In the "Usergroups", there does not appear to be a control in the "General Permissions".

Some options presented in the new listing, like Currency selection, Postage Options, Digital Item, Delivery time, don't seem necessary. Is there an option to turn them off?

Is it possible or there is an easy way to do that?

For example: all my listings will be digital.
So I don't need 'digital item', 'delivery time', 'condition', 'returns' and even 'payment processors'

Same questions as rcull and navossoc, except none of ours will be digital, plus;

1. Is there a way to turn off the Buy It Now feature? That is really not an option when you're selling cars and boats.

2. It shows on the full feature list that it is possible to limit the number of listings per usergroup permissions. Is that only on the Pro version?

3. Can the postage feature be turned off? Once again, not applicable to cars and boats.

4. Is there any way to limit the number of photos allowed? Or is that identical to the forum settings allowed?

We have currently installed Lite and are testing. Please let us know. We are running 4.2.3

You can turn it off when in debug mode or when accessing the Admin page directly, something like:
/admincp/dbtclassifieds.php?do=listingtypes

In version 2 they'll be more easily accessible to change.

IIRC, nope, it should be in the usergroup permissions. :)

In Pro it can be hidden using the Manage Forms page in the AdminCP and a default 'catch all' postage is used so the system can handle it correctly.

Photos are controlled by the general forum attachment settings at the moment. :)

Apologies if this has been asked already I am looking at chainging the file name from dbtclassifieds.php to classifieds.php, I made the change in the ACP and renamed the root file which partly works the only problem is the navigation menus are still pointing to dbtclassifieds.php. I changed the main tab in the navigation menu but where would I change all the others?

Once created they can only be cancelled. The system needs the data to keep things tidy and prevent any MySQL issues.

Thanks Stefan, I think we sorted the issues with the latest patch and some the rest we covered in our threads on the DragonByte site.

You'll need to change them all individually in the Navigation Menu. If you click on 'Classifieds' in the Navigation Menu it will reload with all the sub menus and links available for you to edit.

I would like to see someone wright a short script which would allow some of the classifieds to be written to another page, maybe even on another site. I used to use photopost, and I have attached the code I used to use.

I am sure this was not secure, and will probably shock a coder, but it worked and fortunately no one abused it while it was in use. It was easy for me to format:)

It would also be nice to have a VB4 CMS widget. Perhaps the codes could be similar.

We've had some similar inquires, and version 2 will include the ability to have the Adverts boxes on several other pages, including the CMS. We can even sort out the form creation tool for the CMS. :)

If I set it with 8 digits, the offers only show 2 digits. Is there anything I can do to fix it?

im currently stumped as how to even list something.
i have the mod installed and working, but when i click on the "Classifieds" tab , and click "NEW LISTING" and click either Buy it now, auction it goes to a blank area, i assume there is a spot where i can make categories? Ive been searching for that area for some time now, cant find it in any settings, i must be lost..lol. any help?

Go to your Admin

In the DBTech Classifieds drop down select "Manage Catergories"

Then on the right click on "Add Catergory"

I installed this addon and was even willing to pay for it. But I have to say that I am quite disappointed by the quality because nothing seems to work and there are many bugs in the "lite"-version.

I created categories, currencies, postage options etc and created a new offer for testing purposes. But after clicking on submit, I immediately received a PN that my item was "not sold" and has ended. Does that make any sense? No. And nope, the listing length was not "0 days" but "7 days".

More things that just don't make sense at all: when trying to EDIT an existing offer and then clicking on "PREVIEW listing", the "price"-textfield is missing and that means that it is completely impossible to submit the form because it returns an error no matter what you enter because there simply is no price-field that could contain any value.

More bugs that even lead to 404 errors: on the "viewlisting"-page for a single item, if you click on the category-links in the "Item Basic Details"-box, the URL contains
domainname.com/[ARG:3%20UNDEFINED]?do=listing&action=listing&categoryid=5
which obviously only leads to a 404 error.

That bug with the "[ARG:3%20UNDEFINED]" in the category-URLs exists on *all* installations of this addon, not only on my website.

More bugs: the order of the breadcrumb-elements is messed up very often and the links of certain breadcrumb elements also lead to pages that only display error messages because of missing or messed up parameters (not only on my websites but on ALL websites using this addon that I found using Google).

I could tell you several additional serious bugs but my time is limited.

But my conclusion is: currently this addon is not worth buying (and not even worth trying to install as free version because it contains too many bugs and creating listings simply doesn't work because they will be ended immediately).

Is this product run smoothly? or it buggy?, and is it support PHP7?

I wish if someone have a demo let us check it.
