Ok update for anybody battling with RSS feeds. I managed to come right with the RSS manager. The Get RSS feed button does not work, however if you manually enter the domain followed by /classifieds_rss.php , for the URL feed in RSS manager, it will work. You can then have the feed pulled into a dedicated forum so that it appears in the activity stream as well

Patched some vulnerability's that was found in the mod. No sites were affected by this, it was just found by a user and now is patched. This was in the mod since Christos coded it, so it has been there from day one.

Upload all the files, then import the XML, allowing overwrite.

Ozzy I have htaccess redirects, running ssl, and I noticed when I click on the name of the item for sale in the classifieds it does not take me back to the ad, but back to the forum. How would I fix this without removing the redirect? Can I add something in the htaccess, or setting somewhere? Thanks.

Is there a way to remove the Shipping Options field?

We are a motorcyle forum and no-one offers shipping. It's collection only.

Also is there a way to remove the ad expiry field and force the ad's to remove themselves after 365 days? I've set the maximum to 365 days.

I'd also like to remove the "Reserve on buy" option if possible.

I really want this mod as streamlined and as stripped out as possible.

hello, I am not getting this product to work... there is no category/option for classified in my ACP... I looked and tried to set the usergroups permissions, but no options/controls for classified...

i have tried to uninstall it, but no 'joy'... I get an error..

I dont have any SEO setup yet... and no htaccess.. but, I did try to place the htaccess into the root directory, and that didnt work either...

Your confused about the version of vBulletin you are running. Did you mean to say v4.2?

The database error showing, just means a table in the database is not there. Did you try to remove the product twice? You may have to remove associated configuration files (.xml) for the program to be completely uninstalled.

Sorry, I cannot comment about the product itself, I have never installed it.

yea, 4.2 and im not sure if i tried uninstall twice or not. senior issue??? so, I need to delete the xml file manually?

I can still see the other files that I uploaded. should I delete all of the files I uploaded? do I need to worry about the database filehaving or not having the correct tables? I really dont want to get into editing the datafile..ugh

First, you should always have a backup of your site before you install any modification.

Second, if you can at this point, just disable the modification and leave a message for @ozzy about the uninstall procedure -- if it is not included in the download file.

Third, if you have not backed up your site, do so now. :)

When you have time try to create a local test site and test your modifications there before trying them on your main site, but always back up your main site. (Have I said this enough. :))

Is it safe to assume that PayPal payment processing was never added? I have it installed but can't find that option.

That would be between the seller and the purchaser. The seller could require any type of payment.

If it was working before you installed DBSeo, you should ask them what the issue may be.

I would make sure that the rewrites listed are before any others and see if that sorts it.

I'm not sure when it stopped working, I disabled DBSEO and it still happens so I don't think it was that.

I updated VB a month or so ago too. I also updated the classifieds to the latest version not to long ago too.

The rewrites for yours is first in the file too.

Gotta say that this is a great MOD!

It is so great to be able to move our classifieds section to a section on it's own, and having ads in a nicely formatted way.

Here are some ideas as you develop the product as they come from some "complaints" from having switched from what we used to do in the forums to this separated mod.

1) "New Posts" showing new listings. Something my users are giving me as feedback is that it would be nice if when they clicked "new posts" it also listed the latest classifieds.

2) Visibility of the Classifieds section in TapaTalk and Forum Runner. I have a lot of mobile users who like these apps for their mobile phones over using the mobile browser. However classifieds does not show up for them. I think this is just a limitation of TT and FR, because from what I understand they also don't support Blogs or Articles.... which is a shame.

3) The VB Default Mobile Style also does not show the classified section. It's too bad because this could have solved #2. I have been looking at some other Mobile Styles, and from what I can tell they won't support it either.

So... in a nutshell... adding Classifieds to "new posts, and a way for mobile people to access it would be super!

1. allow ads types to be enabled/disabled (for eg, i only want ad type 4 (free)), do not want others to show.
2. allow integer type in extra fields, or allow regex check.
3. some errors with php 5.5 ? can you plz check.

I don't want to have to uninstall this, but right now nobody can view any of the ads. I really liked this mod. Anyone see anything wrong with my file?

Would anyone know how I can put a box above my forum list on the homepage with the latest classifieds?

I have it in place on the sidebar... but I can't seem to figure out how to put it above the forum list.

If anyone could give me some guidance I would greatly appreciate it.
