I just installed the lite version, I'm having the same issue when trying to CHANGE the usergroup, I've been through the settings many times but can't get it to work. I use a similar feature with another produce (AWC) and it has been working.


Did you ever come up with solution for this?

Make sure you have this checked as a "Yes"

It's set to "YES"

Also, just to clarify, when I go to confirm the contribution I do get the the button that says "confirm & move user to..." (or something similar to that) they just don't move. Can you think of anything else I should look at?

I'll get it to you ASAP, I Also noticed today that I can't confirm contributions for users that are already in the donors usergroup. The prompts all look the same as usual, but after confirming the contribution it remains unconfirmed. If I change the user back to a regular user before confirming the system will allow me to confirm the donation but it still leave the user in the regular usergroup.

For some reasons, whenever any user tries to donate more than $5.00 USD, the payment defaults into $5.00.

He tried donating $40.00 but only $5.00 was sent.

Seems like the problem is that the payment defaults to the lowest suggest amounted.

Figured it out.

We have custom style and donator list looks messed up. We're also using custom (renamed) admincp folder so everytime we click on the edit link we're receiving error 404

There is a setting in general settings for the mod to enter the name of the acp folder.

Does anyone know if this mod allows people to transfer money VIA Paypal instead of simply pay for goods (as in I'm looking for true donations, not payments that trigger the Paypal fees)?

TBH I believe that wold be a violation of PayPal terms, unless of course you are a Not For Profit organization, then if so, I think you would have to take that up with them.

If you just want a simple "Donate" system, Paypal will actually produce the code for you to place in a forum block, or in the footer of your forum, it also goes through their secure server, and you get a record of the transaction too, all for nothing, all you have to do is set up a Paypal account in yours or you forums name,

No need for a heavy MOD like this, about 10 lines of code and it's job done. !

This mod does much more than just accept donations. If you do not like the company, or the mod, please stay out of the thread, this is for discussions on the mod, not what you can do with something else. :)

I have had that issue since installing it, for me its not a big deal i just go into the admincp and make the change.

Hi everyone,

A quick Patch Level update for vBDonate (1.4.5 PL2) which sorts out an issue affecting both the Lite and Pro versions which stops a user being added to a usergroup when their donation has been confirmed or the usergroup change is requested on the front end of the vBDonate system. Simply reupload the files with no need to import the XML to gain the benefit of the fix.

Hi, great addon. Anyways my current month's donation goal reached 120% in a few days. I want to set up next month's donation goal, how do I do it? I want the donation received to be reset to 0% and a new goal amount set.

I tried extending the month (jan 2014) to feb 2014 but all it did was make the countdown time longer. Thanks

The system will update each month to reset the goal, and you can at that point update your goal to reflect what you want to achieve that month. :)
