Maybe you have a conflict with another mod? I guess you have already disabled mods and done the process of elimination approach?

I use 4.2.1 and it appears to function as it should. I haven't tried it with CMS, I only use it in the forums.

I have a very quick question:

You allow for only the first post to be thumbed (basically giving thumbs up or down to a thread)

Is it possible to have the number (thumbs up or down) incorporated on forumdisplay?

For example either

1. it's own column
or
2. as part of Replies / Views / Thumbs

Where it would take the total score for the thread, this would then allow people at a glance to see which threads are the most recommended and sort accordingly.

Great mod, and appears to be working well. The above improvement would complete the whole package.

Is it possible to put the thumb elsewhere.
Its bigger than ne Normal Icon and let the title row appear on two lines

E.g. (Don't know if you know what I mean)

Normal:

Title Icon

After:

Title Icon

I mean this space before the line

Suggestion: I wish we could get some usergroup permission checking so I could let Guests use the button.

Does this mod allow users from the same IP to duplicate thier votes?

We are currently using LIKES from vbseo to allow users to vote on different posts to decide a monthly contest. The problem is people are cheating by creating additional accounts and voting for themselves. They arent even being slick about it, and are using the same IP over and over.

If I change to use this mod instead, will I have the same issue? VBSEO has no option to not allow likes from the same ip address.

There is a mod here that stops people from creating new accounts with the same IP. Just saying.

As far as I can tell, once a user likes a post using this mod - they can't like it again using the same account.

Hmmm. Can you set which usergroups can vote? We -DO- have a 30day/30post requirement to move to an official user versus a newb. I have no problem not letting newbs vote.

This mod is a +1, -1 mod (with ability to turn off -1 votes so = with post thanks). Also its a global rating system (not just only for forum posts).

I've added the files, imported the xml and then added the {vb:raw post_thumbs_box} into the bit legacy file (turned out to be collapsed version for me, took me ages to find it!).

I can add some text and it shows just underneath the text in the post, adding {vb:raw post_thumbs_box} after my bit of text shows the text but no thumbs up! IF I leave everything enabled in the thumbs up options I can see stats in the users profile box on the post but no thumbs up boxes to click. What am I doing wrong here please?

This mod was nice and well used by our members. However, after upgrading to 4.2.2 it just stops working. It shows the total count in the postbit but no icon in the first post to click on to give thumbs up. I tried to reinstall but to no avail. Thanks

Justinphx, perhaps it's a conflicting template modification in your postbit or postbit/thread posting options? Other plugins might be interfering?

I'm running a fresh install of 4.2.2 with no template modifications and it's running well.

The top image has an error indicated by the arrows as when you hover over the number it pushes the number/thumb to the left, but the bottom image you can see it perfectly aligned. You can't see it but the top image continuous changes and moves back and forth from the top image to the bottom image to the top image to the bottom image.

Also is there a way to add a title to the image to say 'Vote Here' or 'Thumbs Up' so it makes it clearer to the reader that the thumbs up means you can vote there.

Are you sure you added the code in the correct place? I believe there are 2 instances of <vb:if condition="$show['postedited'] || $post['signature']"> in postbit legacy

You need the second one.

I'm not sure what I did but it works.

I actually thought I add the overflow:visible to a new spot but instead you need to change the overflow:auto to overflow:visible.
