If it don't work, tell us so... Thanks, my research and investigation stops here. Tagged for now. |
Can anyone update this plugin to support 4.2.1+
Only Andreas can update this mod and re distribute it. If someone wants to update it only for their site they can if they know how.
This really isn't needed for 4.2.1+, is it?

This mod has some good features, but it is possible in 4.2.1+ to get close. We have. I've looked at the code and due to how it works it is medium difficult to change (i.e. requires some refactoring/redesign and a good understanding of vB+php), but alas the license precludes that. It has some duplicate features with 4.2.1 so they would also need to be removed. Kym |
I have vb 4.2.2 and have yet to install your mod. I have created some drop down menus that link to content stored as articles in my CMS. When a user for example views a an item from say the tab "car Classes" and then selects an item from the drop down menu, the tab changes to the news tab as that is where the content is stored. does your mod allow me to over ride this so the tab highlighted does not change ?
please check my site for an example. www.gtarena.com. thanks |
Not in my experience, no. Not if it goes to the CMS. That is why the tab would change. If you link it directly to a url not built in to vB the tab shouldn't change.

It really is not needed as much in v4.2.0+ -- but I am a big fan of @Andreas. |
I think this mod is still important, until now there is no way with the navigation manager to make tabs for individual cms sections, and this mod do, I modified the code for my own use and I get this feature works with me now, but the other functions not, I need to check it before upgrading to 4.2.2.
Does this add functionality for 4.2.2? Does it work for 4.2.2, is basically what I am asking.

DBTech has a version of this that works in 4.2.2, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=274972
The DBTech product didn't deal with cms sections, if it does we all be happy.
True, but have you personally asked then to add that feature? The more people that request it, the more likely they will look into adding it. :)
I did, and I have pro version too, but no luck !!
Ahh ok cool, just wanted to be sure, :)
This app is so buggy but thanks anyway
