No. At least not without writing some custom coding yourself.

ahobilam 07-27-2013 07:58 AM

Thanks,
Then, let me know the way with custom coding.
I found few websites are having secondary drop down menus with jquery.
I am interested to do some how.

Working fine with 4.2.0 on my site, Stevie. I haven't upgraded as it does break this mod, and I'm not wanting to re-do my configuration just yet.

This mod does NOT work with 4.2.1 upwards - don't use it

Now this is what I like to hear...
If it don't work, tell us so...

Thanks, my research and investigation stops here.

Tagged for now.

Can anyone update this plugin to support 4.2.1+

ozzy47 10-15-2013 11:54 PM

Only Andreas can update this mod and re distribute it. If someone wants to update it only for their site they can if they know how.

djbaxter 10-15-2013 11:57 PM

This really isn't needed for 4.2.1+, is it?

Correct, almost.
This mod has some good features, but it is possible in 4.2.1+ to get close.
We have.

I've looked at the code and due to how it works it is medium difficult to change (i.e. requires some refactoring/redesign and a good understanding of vB+php), but alas the license precludes that.
It has some duplicate features with 4.2.1 so they would also need to be removed.

I have vb 4.2.2 and have yet to install your mod. I have created some drop down menus that link to content stored as articles in my CMS. When a user for example views a an item from say the tab "car Classes" and then selects an item from the drop down menu, the tab changes to the news tab as that is where the content is stored. does your mod allow me to over ride this so the tab highlighted does not change ?

please check my site for an example. www.gtarena.com.

thanks

Dogma21cw 10-30-2013 02:55 PM

Not in my experience, no. Not if it goes to the CMS. That is why the tab would change. If you link it directly to a url not built in to vB the tab shouldn't change.

I just added ?tabid=71 at the end of my links 71 is a example of course and the correct tab will be shown. :)

ozzy47 11-03-2013 09:46 AM

What for? The code is unsupported. I guess if you are sending him praise then it is all good. :)

It really is not needed as much in v4.2.0+ -- but I am a big fan of @Andreas.

SilverBoy 01-05-2014 01:41 AM

I think this mod is still important, until now there is no way with the navigation manager to make tabs for individual cms sections, and this mod do, I modified the code for my own use and I get this feature works with me now, but the other functions not, I need to check it before upgrading to 4.2.2.

Phaedrus 01-06-2014 02:15 AM

Does this add functionality for 4.2.2? Does it work for 4.2.2, is basically what I am asking.

No. It breaks with 4.2.2. The author has moved on from vB and will not be enhancing the addon

This makes me sad, he was one of the best. His TMS was awesome, though it too as problems in 4.2.2...

ozzy47 01-23-2014 02:17 AM

DBTech has a version of this that works in 4.2.2, https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=274972

SilverBoy 01-23-2014 02:57 AM

The DBTech product didn't deal with cms sections, if it does we all be happy.

ozzy47 01-23-2014 03:11 AM

True, but have you personally asked then to add that feature? The more people that request it, the more likely they will look into adding it. :)

SilverBoy 01-23-2014 04:12 AM

I did, and I have pro version too, but no luck !!

ozzy47 01-23-2014 04:13 AM

Ahh ok cool, just wanted to be sure, :)

HerbToken 01-31-2014 06:12 PM

That is not fully true ;)

I hope to have a 4.2.2-compatible version available in about 2 weeks.

CharlieDelta 02-05-2014 07:29 PM

We're sure still waiting for the compatible 4.2.2.

Has any body actually tested the available beta 3 or 4 on vB 4.2.2 PL 1?
