Edit

Figured it out :) forgot to put the amount of articles to show *doh* moment lol Thank you!

Edit

i'm having the same problem as this guy ^

ReBe 06-27-2013 02:39 PM

Set the widget-cache time to "0" could help.

that worked :)!

dagg929 07-21-2013 08:07 PM

I am having a rather unique problem that isn't specific to this slider either.

Anytime I try to install any slider I encounter an issue where the CMS widget displayed on the home screen is displaying the "customize" options instead of the script. I think that there is an issue with pulling article information or java, I'm not sure what is causing this problem but assistance would be wonderful.

DragonByte Tech 07-23-2013 05:55 PM

That's certainly the strangest problem I've ever heard of... Sadly I have no idea what could be causing it :(

Hmm was running an earlier version without issue, upgraded to 3.0.1 and now the slider is just collapsed on the CMS without any content.

Does this work correctly with Vbseo now?

ahh was just a template conflict, reverted the widget template and all is well. Something borked in the template merge from 2.0.0 -> 3.0.1

We're running it with vBSEO @ our forum, and we experience no problems. If you have a specific problem then please post it.

RichieBoy67 08-08-2013 01:51 PM

I have tried using this on clients sites with Vbseo installed and when clicking on the slider images they usually get sent back to the cms page. My clients really like this slider until they try to follow an image.

Is there something specific that has to be done upon install to get this working properly with Vbseo?

Thanks for the reply Fillip

Update-was an older version..not sure if it was the same version as here. The new version works with Vbseo though.

DragonByte Tech 08-08-2013 02:22 PM

Can you please provide more information (or better yet, a demonstration) of this issue in action?

If I'm to re-test it I'll need to know the exact circumstances and setup used for both the forum and the slider.

I am not seeing All these options

Create new Custom Content
Content Link
Content Image URL

Just Manage and repair options

I want the one that shows in the pics you posted DragonByte Tech

I Have VB 4.2.1

ozzy47 09-14-2013 09:11 AM

Custom Content is in the paid version, not the free one. You can purchase the paid versio from the developers website.

Demon119 09-14-2013 05:10 PM

almost $55 lifetime for the pro i dont think so Everything from [DBTech] is too much

ozzy47 09-14-2013 05:12 PM

Sorry you feel that way, then I would suggest living without the added features of the Pro version. :(

Sorry but I do not understand your question. It should work as long as you have a Vbulletin license. This is a lite version but should work.

You need to ensure you've added yourself to Super Administrators in config.php :)

Set permissions here - admincp-> usergroups -> administrator permissions -> (Scroll all the way down)

Update

Hotfix: PHP 5.4 Compatibility fixes

This does not guarantee the mod is error free on PHP 5.4, but it will take care of the reported errors. Thank you all for your reports :)

Fillip

Crotan 10-13-2013 05:11 AM

don't see a patch level download like you did for your other mods?

DragonByte Tech 10-13-2013 07:43 PM

No other mods received a Patch Level release - it's all hotfixes. To create a new version number for 31 mods (the total number of mods updated for vB 4.2.2) would have meant you would not have seen any updates for several more days.

We decided to prioritise getting the fixes in the hands of our users and customers as soon as possible :)

read more is not displaying, is there an option for that?

DragonByte Tech 12-17-2013 10:32 PM

Please provide more information, I don't know what specifically you're referring to.

Yu have to create an instance. Did you?

Custom content is a Pro-only feature.

We don't officially provide support for vBAdvanced products due to their unorthodox coding practices, but you're welcome to try :)

Pricing is not clear on the site - what is Lite vs Pro? I only see 3 mo, 1 yr or lifetime pricing.

Lite is free forever, the license lengths control how long you will receive free updates to the Pro version :)

Fillip

So, Pro version comes with either 3 mo, 1 yr or lifetime purchase?

RichieBoy67 06-04-2014 05:23 PM

I am getting the wrong url for some of my articles. The part that is showing wrong is showing like this..

/content.php/280-content.php/

I think this is a redirect issue...

Like I said, the length controls how long you receive updates. If you buy a 3 Month licence, you can upgrade to any version we release within 3 months of purchase, but the version you're running at the end of those 3 months is the latest you will have access to unless you renew.

There's a similar issue reported at our forums, once I've received feedback from that person I'll update the version here :)

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/06/54.png

I believe I am also supposed to see forum and CMS settings here as well.

I have made sure to enable permissions to edit vBSlider under administrator and also added myself as a superadmin on config.php (I'm uid=1).

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/06/55.png

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/external/2014/06/56.png

Because the settings are missing, I am unable to try out the lite version at all (there's nowhere to turn it on; I believe to turn on the slider on forum is for "Forum settings"). I have disabled all the products, and I've also tried disabling hooks in config.php. They're still not there.

Am I forgetting anything? I require your assistance as soon as possible.

MajorKokosnuss 08-29-2014 06:04 PM

Doesn't work for me :( i have added

{vb:raw show.vbslider_instance1}

That is not the correct area. Check in the left side menu for Instance Management under the DBTech - vBSlider group :)

This has been resolved @ our site.

I see updates across many of your mods, yet no version increment? Or change notes?

ozzy47 12-16-2014 12:52 AM

That is because it was a security patch in all their mods. :)
