Got this installed. The chatbar isn't showing up, and for some reason, I don't have any options for it in "usergroup" settings.

I've searched the thread, but haven't found anything. Any ideas?

Okay, same problem here. I adjusted all the usergroup permissions correctly... double checked twice!

However, the chat will not show up. Any suggestions? Help is appreciated!

Check that you uploaded all the files correctly, particularly the includes folder.

Are you positive you configured everything? Make sure you didn't put anything in the setting for banned users. If both of those things are fine setup a default vb style just to make sure your style isn't whats creating the issue. If it shows up on there contact us and we can talk with you to see about getting your style fixed to show the bar.

That error is related to your servers configuration, most likely your mysql isn't optimized for your server and its crashing due to running out of resources. That would explain why it wasn't able to connect to the socket. I would suggest having a server admin look at your my.cnf and tune things.

there is a few thing you may want to change on your chat:
problem with language - rtl , the "online friends" separate: "online" "friends", i mean when you want to translate it to language - rtl, it will be opposite. and when you type on the chat in language - rtl it's not align it good as language - ltr.

it's optimized (for 100 connections): Total memory 1.8 GB

Hello, I like this mod but I had a problem:

When I import the product: "ideal_chat_ajax.php"

Warning: fputs(): supplied argument is not a valid stream resource in [path]/iwt/shared/includes/license_api.php

Hello, I like it alot, but was wondering if theirs a way i can make it less slow? The loading bar appears for several minutes and clicking on online friends. Is the pro version faster?

Also, When I click on a friend no chat box appears, the chat room link doesn't open, and the settings doesn't work. If you could explain to me how to get it working as well as it does on http://www.extremegamezone.com I'll be more than happy to use it and purchase pro

There will be a free update, we haven't decided if it will get all the new features yet, but it will definitely be getting the bugfixes and new layout.

Go to our site and open a support ticket and we will take a look at things to see whats going on. Is your site somewhat slow in terms of loading in general?

i have the full paid version 1.2.0
seemed to work wtih 4.1.7 on my board. users could chat and use chat rooms.
but it kills the server.
server load with it disabled is 5-7 server load. with it active 20-41 making pages unable to load.

EDIT #1:
a real +++++ to shut down as the admincp would not load to turn it off.

even on a localhost with no users online i had 20+ server loads

I will test it with the latest version. 1.3.0

EDIT #2:
test with vB 4.1.7 PL2 and chat v1.3.0. still increases then load and kills the urljet VPS server.

Chat bar doesn't show up on my site. I have set all the usergroup settings, and the settings in my profile. Using vB 4.1.7 PL2 Suite. Hmmm.

We are working to help everybody get things running smoothly, but do to the complexity of the script there are many different issues that arise depending on server configuration and addons installed. But without a structured way to manage things its impossible to help everybody and fix things on a global scale to fix these issues.

running 4.1.7 here.... once activated, it runs WAY too slow to the point that the pages time out. uninstalled until fix
