Just upload 'vblinklist/widgets/widget_linklist_stats.php' in the ZIP to FTP so that 'widgets' will be another subdirectory in ./vblinklist. There you need to place widgets/widget_linklist_stats.php

First, thanks for the update! It looks really good but, I've just installed the update and the images in the "misc" image folder are not displaying where they're supposed to.

Instead of an icon showing next to the title to take you directly to the site, it's showing the title twice. And, the google page rank image isn't showing. And, the issue I told you about before where the check and x are not appearing when checking for the url.

That is because of your style as you are not using the original stylevars/css for it ;)

Just a very quick note: in the vBSEO rules you changed 'linkdirectory' to 'linkliste'. Is this for German versions only or is that a needed change? Thanks.

Check the stylevars, stylevar group 'linklist'. There you'll find the settings for the image and the banner just like border and/or max-width and max-height.

The custom preview image like 3D etc can be used if you change the service to userdefined and enter the link to the thumbnailservice in the specified field below.

Sorry, I made myself misunderstood, my bad. What you mention here is working like a charme and I already use it :-). What I meant was an additional option to add your own preview picture wil the thumbnail is still being created. thumber.de offers this link for example (taken from thumber.de): . You now know what I mean?

Yep, it does, I tested that on a single vB independent site just to be sure ;-).

So the way it goes is like uploading a temporar image untill the thumbshot has been done by the service. The link to the temp image will get constructed by the upload which needs another db-entry. Problem is: how to automatically get ridd of the image after its not needed anmyore? This has to be done manually then as otherwise I dont see a change to keep this smooth.

If you turned that option on, yes.

It is turned on. That is why I find it odd.

EDIT: Also clicking on the smiley icon when making a comment does not work. Nothing happens.

The widget is also not showing the little PHP icon for some reason.

Pagerank doesn't seem to be working on my site. All links have a wrong PR=0.
Tested on Firefox and Chrome with same results .

To add further - im worried that if i install this mod and rely 100% on it - i may in 2 years time not be able to use it as a) there no support b) the vb backend is so different it doesnt work (db names etc)

After working for some time with this mod I have to repeat myself: it's a great mod, especially regarding the fact how new it is! Please don't get me wrong, I really want to help to improve this addon, so here are a few observations, maybe you like to have a look at that and can fix a few things in the upcoming versions :-).

• when you add a link into a category that has usergroup restrictions this link is still shown to everybody on WGO (a reason for me to disable WGO for now)
• banner size restriction via stylvars is not having any impact on sizes, looks like it's not working at the moment
• Google rankings are not working either
• smilie icon in comment box is not working (probably js missing in templates)
• Attachment icon is not shown in the editor of link description, would be nice if attachments would be possible as well
• checking for suspect files you get this message on many vblinklist files: File version mismatch: found 1.0.0 , expected 1.0.4
• Adding videos to the description bit doesn't work

Did you think of creating a widget version for the forum sidebar blocks? That would be much appreciated as well.

Building thumbnails takes ages, I am still waiting for some from two weeks ago... Do you have an idea if it's a problem of the service (I chose thumber.de) or could there be a connection with the mod? Service is activated and the custom code is correctly added.
