And for 4.2.0, it can work but takes a lot longer to make work.
PM me for details.

Why not post details here?

Almost appears this software is abandoned. No updates in a long time. Any plans on it?

Please stay away from this developer, he is always posting as may addons as possible but no support.

The samething happens with maria (who deveploped the classifieds and sold it to this developer?)

matrixmark 06-20-2012 06:44 AM

I hate devs that make awesome plugins then abandon them.

Sucks but hey.

Anyone know of an alternative to this one?

ProFifaLeagues 06-20-2012 08:56 AM

To be fair there is some unneeded comments in here and both Micheal and Maria have been a good help in the past to me with there mods and also the Community as a whole.
Maria I think was very Ill which is why she passed up on her mods in the end and Micheal also says at the very top in the mod details its not supported.

As you see above there is an offer to help people use this on the latest 4.2Versions by other members so be thankful we have the mod in the first place Free of charge

I am not slamming the developer. Problem is there is no other vb integrated support ticket system out there. I only wished the vB staff would release their system as a mod. Least the support would be there on that one.

Developers get something called code block after a while, and eventually they walk away from projects they did out of waning interest and other reasons.

As for offers to help people make it work on 4.2, I would rather see the code fixes posted.

ProFifaLeagues 06-20-2012 01:12 PM

Thanks, but I need one like microSupport that is integrated into vBulletin. It kind of sucks that mods that start out so well tend to die before they reach full potential.

Hostboard 06-20-2012 11:33 PM

Just use Project Tools: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=270346

Then download the one which is this Modification, and then add links which are missing from the nav bar.

Then again, you need it working on a version before 4.2.0 to know which links to add.

I paid for this Modification from a site, then just followed what this guy did, I won't post about it, but PM me if anyone wants this working for all versions from vb 4.1,5 to 4.1.12 then to 4.2.0

I have tested and got it working on all versions, but as I say, I won't post everything up as it cost me to get it working and to follow what someone did for me, but I will help out via PM.

Project Tools is a project management add-on for vBulletin, providing issue tracking and assignment functionality there is no integration. Upload the files, install the XML and configure accordingly.

JelSoft (pre IB & Jira) used it as a reporting feature which by definition is a help desk.

First, I have this mod installed and had it working. Second, I don't PM anyone for things on a free mod that should be public, unless I am dealing with one of the coders I have doing work for me.. The links needed are in the script, no need to have another one up just for that. Everytime I had someone suggest we PM them for a fix to this or that, it turned into $$$ or otherwise illegal copyright infringement, so I don't do that. Sorry. But if you were to take over development of this mod, then things would be different. I deal with the mod developers direct where I can and never someone else.

Even if did meet the technical definition, it does not come close to what this one did. There is a reason why Jelsoft went on to something else.

dmm2020 06-24-2012 10:09 PM

Question I have so I can rebuilt the menu myself is what are the menu items under "Technician" in the main menu? A screen capture would help. If you know which files the menu items are pointing to, that would help. When I get mine done, I will post the results on how to make this work for vB 4.2+. It's actually quite easy and should be posted publicly. So if anyone posts that info, I will return it with a fix to this mod.

magneto55 06-27-2012 07:43 PM

Working fine on 4.1.2

All you need to do is:

open support.php:
replace all instances of: 'functions_wysiwyg.php' with 'class_wysiwygparser.php'

Good luck!

magneto55 06-27-2012 07:46 PM

@all i will pickup development of this plugin for future versions. Will be upgrading to 4.2.x this weekend and I will modify it to work and then post whatever changes are required!

If the dev doesn't mind offcourse. I would like to keep this plugin alive! (and free of charge!!!)

I like the idea of it, but Michael makes money off his Pro version and makes very little effort to maintain this one. This makes me reluctant to try the paid version too, and I generally buy the pro version if one exists after I try the free version first. I would love it if he releases it to you though. If not consider looking at osTicket and porting it to work with vBulletin. Be careful about just taking it over without a formal release however, as the idea of this free one really is to get you to go to the developers site and by the pro version. I miss it when Maria was in here because she supported both.

Results in this when I try to add a FAQ item:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function convert_wysiwyg_html_to_bbcode() in /......../support.php on line 272

Does a class object have to be declared somewhere?

Willy T 06-30-2012 05:14 PM

This is a great mod.

I wish instead of departments receiving emails, you could designate a user group to receive PM's when a ticket is created.

Najib Razali 08-06-2012 08:17 AM

how do I use the live support system? How do I add the advisor?

the Navbar does not work on 4.2.0

the coder needs to create navigation in Navigation Manager with all the correct permissions, then release a new version for 4.2.0

i create my own menu for this which works fine, basic links are shown my my website
technician links are shown after mods/admin logs in

TheSupportForum 09-09-2012 04:28 PM

has anyone got the fix for

Fatal error: Call to undefined function convert_wysiwyg_html_to_bbcode() in support.php on line 272

Is this mod now un-supported? I found an SQL injection in it.. Hopefully OP will respond to my PM. :)

Bluefin221 09-29-2012 01:19 PM

This actually looks a really nice mod, however seems to have been abandoned.

Haven't seen support since the previous developer gave it up. If you go to website, many questions there remain unanswered.

Hello Simon,

Which vB version are you using? This function is calling if the version is lower than 4.1.4 when vB changed the editor and removed the file includes/functions_wysiwyg.php

I know it. I asked in case that there was a conflist, with old files. The full code there must be like:
Code:

        if (version_compare(@$vbulletin->versionnumber, '4.1.4', '>='))
        {
                require_once(DIR . '/includes/class_wysiwygparser.php');
                $html_parser = new vB_WysiwygHtmlParser($vbulletin);
                $vbulletin->GPC['message'] = $html_parser->parse_wysiwyg_html_to_bbcode($_POST['message'], 0);
        } else {
                require_once(DIR . '/includes/functions_wysiwyg.php');
                $vbulletin->GPC['message'] = convert_wysiwyg_html_to_bbcode($_POST['message'], 0);
        }

ibrahimkoky 11-01-2012 08:48 PM

so does it work on 4.2?!

As code should works 100%. The only missing part which needs update is the navigation menu. This can be done automatically with an update from author, or manually by you if you write down the links and then build the navigation menus.
