Fillip

did u support it in
[DBTech] DragonByte SEO v1 (vB3)

DragonByte Tech 05-07-2014 12:52 PM

Is that a question or a statement?

If it's a question: Yes, we do have social sharing features in DBSEO.
If it's a statement: We won't duplicate functionality across multiple mods.

Why am I getting the same information twice?
http://prntscr.com/3jkbvl

DragonByte Tech 05-17-2014 08:52 PM

That is most likely a mod conflict, try disabling all other modifications.

Changes To Existing Features
  • An index has been added to the "Recent Entries" cache to make deleting expired entries significantly faster

Thats the only suggestion you have? I have a bunch of mods... Not a better suggestion?

DragonByte Tech 05-18-2014 06:41 PM

That is the only way to eliminate the probability of a mod conflict. If we were to look into it on your site, we would do the exact same thing :)

the only mod that i see that has inputs in users postbit is the Yet another award system MOD. I disabled it and still seeing the same stuff. Would yu like the whole list of mods im currently using?

I'm already set as a Super Administrator in the vb config.php file. In fact I'm the only admin on my site. Refresh does nothing, closing the browser and re-opening does nothing or does logging in using a different browser.

I'm running vBulletin 3.8.7 and I do not have a admincp menu named "DBTech - Posts Thanks".

Any suggestions?

WoodiE 06-01-2014 03:00 PM

Mods can this add-on be moved to the modification graveyard, looks like it's no longer supported. Not only my question above but many others in this thread in the vB4 version thread are also going unanswered.

This can happen if you are running an AdminCP menu "improvement" mod, I believe there are a few of those around. They allow you to reorder the ACP menu, but new items have to be manually inserted into this mod.

As per the OP, Priority Support is given @ our website.

I don't know why you believe that not getting instant responses for your support request means this thread should be moved to the Graveyard, but I can assure you that you are completely wrong.

Furthermore, your attitude puts me off actually helping you. You are coming off as entitled, which is actually really upsetting. Please do not forget that you are not dealing with a faceless corporation, but rather a small collection of human beings, myself being responsible for 30+ products.

Maybe so but not the case here. Not running any AdminCP mod even close to that type of function.

Fillip

Fillip, sorry I didn't realize nearly a week and a half wait time for any kind of response was considered "instant". Please do accept my deepest apologizes.

As for the rest, yes I know who I'm dealing with. In fact I've purchased another one of your add-ons "pro" versions for another one of my forums and have been mostly happy with the product. So thank you for your services!

Even if a developer chose not to support a mod that is not a reason to put it in the Graveyard.

Mods are only Graveyarded if-
  • The author requests it
  • A security exploit is found
  • Legal / copyright issue

Can you try to manually grant your account the Can Administer Thanks permission from the "Administrator Permissions" menu?

There may also be a mod conflict preventing the plugin that grants Super Admin access to our menu from actually doing that.

Please try disabling all other modifications and see if that helps :)

If not, you may be lacking the /includes/xml/bitfields_dbtech_thanks.xml file from your server.

Edit each button and turn off the Disable <> Stat In Postbit setting.

Did you try looking in the templates?

The two related templates are dbtech_thanks_postbit and dbtech_thanks_postbit_stats

is there any command to reset the likes received by a user ?

DragonByte Tech 07-18-2014 05:22 PM

You would need to manually clear that user's entries from the database, then rebuild the statistics.

Look in the dbtech_thanks_entry database, that's where they're stored :)
