Any chance of adding Administrator approval?

Skyrider 06-06-2012 03:56 PM

I personally don't mind the copyright to your website Dragon seeing you created the plugins, but is this needed?

Feel free to disable it via the vBulletin Options for this mod :)

Skyrider 06-06-2012 04:17 PM

My bad, my apologies. I didn't see this beforehand.

Big Engine 06-12-2012 10:20 PM

If a mod changes a users name and then tries to change it back to the old name, this pops up.

"That username is already in use or does not meet the administrator's standards. If you are ***** and you have forgotten your password, click here."

Only the username is where the asterisks are.

Is there anyway for a mod to change a username back to the original username ?

DragonByte Tech 06-12-2012 10:21 PM

That's the Username Re-Use Delay which is a vBulletin feature, not us :)

LOL Nevermind, I remembered where it was and fixed it, thank you.:D

Big Engine 06-12-2012 10:58 PM

A mod can change the admin's name ?

Any way to stop that ?

DragonByte Tech 06-12-2012 11:00 PM

Not explicitly mods to admins, no. You can, however, set who can change others' names, I believe :)

Thanks, yikes that's a little scary.

I hear warm milk and just keep telling yourself "the only thing to fear is fear itself" helps.

It works perfectly fine on 4.1.11 :)

If you have a specific problem, you could try posting it, but please refrain from posting false information :)

It's Damn Real! 08-11-2012 11:35 PM

I must have hit an error. Apologies.

It's functioning perfectly after re-install.

Amaury 11-12-2012 02:36 PM

<font face="Times New Roman">Our owner installed this early this morning, but I noticed it's not picking up all of the username changes from older staff members, such as me.

Is this normal?</font>

DragonByte Tech 11-12-2012 02:41 PM

If they were changed via a method that did not insert username history (vBulletin feature) in the past, or your usergroups don't have access to displaying the username history on your profiles, then yes it is.

Fillip

They were changed via staff members' profiles in the Admin CP.

DragonByte Tech 11-13-2012 02:42 PM

Are you sure all your usergroups have access to seeing the username history? Check it in usergroup manager.

I'm not an administrator anymore, but, yes, we do, because I can see my name changes, just not all of them:

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...fileAmaury.png

Some I can think of include the following: Odd Della Robbia, Jeremy Belpois, Jeremie Belpois and more.

It's also happening to our owner:

http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...rofileSean.png

Some I can think of for him include the following: The Shadows (sometime in November 2011), Suzuka x Yamato (sometime in December 2011), and more.

We've both had more username changes than that, and they've all been done the normal way.

Anbieter 11-14-2012 09:02 AM

Pretty nice :)

Amaury 11-17-2012 01:45 PM

One of our sectional moderators sent me a PM and asked if this were possible:

Quote:

Hi. Is there a way to hide "Username History" I'd appreciate it if I were..Unknown on here. Thanks.
If not, would it be possible to add the feature?

Thanks.

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 02:37 PM

Are the "missing" username changes showing up in the member's Profile Change History in the AdminCP?

New features are best requested @ our forum, since they will get lost in the mists of time here on vBulletin.org :)

I'll have one of the admins check, thanks.

Will do.

Amaury 11-17-2012 04:42 PM

An admin just checked. They're showing up there.

EDIT: Here's a screenshot he provided.

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 05:39 PM

Hmm... Can you check the userchangelog database table and see if the fieldname column is anything other than "username" (all lowercase) for the entries that are missing?

Fillip

Is that also done via the Admin CP?

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 05:52 PM

Via phpMyAdmin is the best bet, though it can be done via the AdminCP if the user has Execute SQL permissions from config.php :)

Fillip

SQL executions are possible.

What would the execution be?

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 06:01 PM

If you're using a table prefix, you need to add it in front of the table name:

Code:

select fieldname from userchangelog where userid = x
Replacing X with the userid of a user that's got missing entries.

Fillip

Just so I pass along the correct information, am I understanding this right?

Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Execute SQL Query

In the Manual Query box, enter that code and replace the X with the user's ID -- for example, mine is 18.

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 06:18 PM

That's correct :)

Ideally it should return "username" in all lowercase over and over again for all the entries.

Fillip

In that case, just exit the Admin CP, go back to the forum index, and carry on with your day, right? =P

If not, though, what should be done?

DragonByte Tech 11-17-2012 06:33 PM

If not then
Code:

update userchangelog set fieldname = 'username' where fieldname = 'x'
replacing X with whatever the result of the previous query was that is not "username" in all lowercase :)

Fillip
