Thats weird, we tested the garage with my mods everything fine, now we launch garage for users but when they submit a car, i receive the private message that i have to approve but when I go in the listing "approve make" there is nothing !!! what could be the problem?

Sixes 07-09-2010 11:47 PM

Same thing here. I had to go a few levels down to approve it.

In fact as a moderator now i can see the vehicles thanks! But how to aprove them??? I dont see the option to approve! Can you tell me? thanks

fulviods 07-10-2010 12:10 AM

I found a solution! In fact coming from the pm there is nothing in the listing (except if im as a mod), but if i simply go on the homepage of the garage (as admin) i can see a link that indicates how many things are waiting and it works ;) thanks!!! Im on vb 4.04 and this little problem maybe should be fixed, hopefully there is a solution. Thanks for this great mod!

Sixes 07-10-2010 12:13 AM

Thats what I ended up doing. The link you are given shows up blank so you have to go into the mod, find it and approve.

Great mod otherwise

Dylanblitz 07-10-2010 04:49 PM

Sorry about that, I found that the link for the approval area isn't showing up.

When there is an approval waiting the main page of the garage will have links to the items needing approval and the menu *should* have a link to the main approval page.

That link isn't working, I'll fix it and release an update.

Sixes 07-10-2010 10:23 PM

Many thanks!

First i would like to thank you for such an awesome hack. I have been using it since 3.8 and couldn't have my community without it.

Back in 3.8 you created a mod that showed some of the vehicles on the forum home page. Is this going to be available with the 4.0 version? I found that it improved the # of clicks to the garage.

Thanks again!

Sorry about that. I thought it was in the package. I'm going to release a new bugfix one soon. I'll include the code I have for a front page widget, the forum home images and the postbit link.

EDIT:
Actually, if you look in the tools folder the forumhome images and postbit link xml files are in there :)
I'll add the CMS widget to the next one too.

Killeglass 07-25-2010 03:49 AM

I have the new 4.0 version running and beautiful work. I like the gas mileage banners it generates

Nominated for mod of the month

Version 4? What? VB Version 4 or Garage?

He's talking about the commercial vb4 version heh. It has fuel tracking in it. Sorry for the mix up.

Sixes 07-25-2010 07:24 AM

Thats ok, looking into getting that

Killeglass 07-25-2010 03:47 PM

Sorry folks for the mis-que. Us senior citizens memory is not what it used to be.

That is in the paid version. I have this installed on a few forums making it hard to keep track of whos on where.

:)

If you are talking about the forum home, there is an xml file in the tools folder to do that.
garage_pic_forumhome_vb4.xml
If you are talking about the CMS home, I have a widget built that will be included in the next release.

I need to do some work on the javascript. The mouseover is showing the alt tag, which is the only way I can pass the link to view the full size image.

Did you download the up and coming events and banner scripts? If you did can you pm me the links? I'll download them and find out how I can get it to not overlap.

Hmm, I'm wondering if it's something with the template. I'm not having the same problem on the default and one of the downloaded templates on my dev site. Did you download and modify a template or is it home grown? Here is what I see on my dev. The random images block is in a different place.

The online docs have directions on how to install it. Look in the Tools section

It doesn't hook into the navbar template. If you select to put it above the forums it will use the FORUMHOME template and will use the forumhome_above_forums hook

Dylanblitz 08-03-2010 10:52 PM

Err Double post

customcolor 08-04-2010 01:07 AM

Nothing really looks out of the ordinary. I'm not a style guy though, that's why i wanted to know if you downloaded it and modified. I'd download it and see if I could break/fix it on my dev server. Other then obvious broken tables and such, problems with css type things, I need to tweak and play with to figure out.

Glad you got it working. The forumhome and postbit link will be included in the next product release so you wont have to setup separate things. Makes it easier heh.

Sixes 08-04-2010 07:43 AM

Great work you have done. Will look at buying the full version

Cool, I'll download it and see if I can replicate and find a fix for the problem :)

EDIT:
Okay, installed and still not having the problem.
One thing I noticed, the random images block should be below the "Welcome to the Fox Valley Reef Club" text. You didn't manually edit templates to put it in did you? It should just have an option to select in the ACP Settings. Maybe try selecting a different option, like below forums, then set it back to above forums?
