I have installed this mod and it works perfectly for me. I've read all 19 pages here, and I'm trying to figure out if I can run two banners separately in header one on top of each other? Is it possible?

No you can't buddy, it wont work.

Valter, I've tried to get the banners to show up on the homepage CMS, I've read every page and spent the afternoon trying to get it but no luck. Can you please help with this?
I love the speed and usability of this add-on, work great in the forums but it is like just one slight handicap of a great and awesome product!

Anyway this mod can be altered so we can choose which forum sections the banner shows up in?!

Example:

The way this works now is that you can only add a banner to the forum home page. I am looking to be able to have rotating banners in specific forum sections. On my forum, I have vendor sections. And I would like to have certain banners, only allowed to rotate within that Vendor Forum Section.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, or if there is a mod out there that can do this, please let me know. Thanks!

OPTIONAL:
- Open desired template and add "{vb:raw vsa_flashimagebanners}" where you wish banners to appear
- Go to product settings and add THIS_SCRIPT and template name of destination page


That should do what you want to do here.

So say i wanted to have seperate rotating banners in my "vendors only" forum section or a vendor specific forum section. Do i have to call on that particular forumid to do this?

I'm not sure exactly what you are trying to do, but I can guess... if you open navbar code, just above the div at the beginning of the template, add your ads and then at the end of your ads code, place <br/> to make a space between the navbar and the header. if you want to increase the space, add another <br/> so they push the navbar downer: i.e: <br/><br/>

I tried it on vb4.2, but didn't work and I still don't know why... The major issue that managed banners options feature doesn't show up in the quick links menu at all.... so there must be some conflict with either the vb version or the plugins installed previously...

Is there no way to just link to a flash file? Instead of hosting the flash file, it would be better to let someone else do it and save bandwidth and resources.

Still working on 4.2 BUT now i cant manage the banners as there is no link in quick links anymore could someone put up the URL that link in quick links takes you too please so i can find the page and change my banners

I am having the same problem. I recently upgraded to a newer version of Vbulletin and now no longer have the link in quick links to manage my banners.

Please help on a solution!

Have you downloaded the zip, and import the latest XML, I see the code in there for it to work on 4.2

Valter, can this mod provide a statistics report by change? Like how many click throughs each banner got, etc?

looks like an interesting mod and could be perfectly suited to our requirements.

Am I correct is assuming one can just upload banners in the form of .jpg and .gif files as images that will then change as per the setting one specifies, I don't have to use flash if we don't want to??

By the sounds of things this does not work in the CMS is that correct.

I've been using your mod for a while now and it's been working well (www.landcruiserclub.net)

One issue I had was that I charge members to have their banners there. This was turning into a pain in the backside for me to manage who paid for what period etc. so, I made a small mod.

I optionally attached a banner to a user. I then changed your select where you grab the active banners to do a left outer to the subscription and subscriptionlog tables to ensure that the user has a valid and active subscription. If there was none then the record was excluded.

Now my banners are active only while the user has a valid subscription and as soon as that expires, the join removes the banners from the results.
Because it is a left outer, the need for a user is optional and if there is no link then your mod works as usual.


I don't want to take your code with my change and call it mine so can email you the change details if you would / could include it in your next release. It took me all of 15 minutes to do so not a big deal at all.

If you leave 'Display Location' blank in the options, the banners should show on all pages of your site. I know that they do on mine.

Installed it today on 4.2.2 PL1 and it's working just fine!

Hi, I've been using VSa - ChatBox 3.1.6 for quite sometime. I wonder, is there a way to download all the recorded chatbox messages, since it's part of the forum's history, and clean them from the database, afterwards?

Is there a possibility to show different Banner abreast (side by side)?

I am using this and it works fine unless I enable PhotoPlog. If you enable this and have PhotoPlog enabled then the menu for PhotoPlog for uploads and etc. goes away.

I would like to put this in the header. Bulletin's "Advertising" feature shows a place for an Ad called Header 2. That is where I would like this to show up. Can anybody tell me how to place it there?

I'm attaching a picture that shows "Global Header 2". How can I put this there?

You should have no problem with that..I had affiliate banners and also adsense ...so yes ...

Been using this great mod on v4.2.2 but n ow upgrading to latest v5. Will the mod still work or is there an upgrade please?
