How do we remove a given award. I know it sounds strange but is there an option or am I blind/dumb.. :) ?

IR15H 02-22-2010 05:06 PM

Thanks for updating to vB4 :). Would it be possible for the next release to add an if condition to the user's profile tab so that if they have no awards then the tab does not show, rather than display a tab with no information?

ADMIN CP > Award System > Award Manager > [Give award to user] (Bear with me ;)) > Users Who Have Already Recieved Awards > Remove.

Cadellin 02-22-2010 08:47 PM

Thanks Ronya - I think I can get this to do exactly what I need with a bit of tweaking. Many thanks!

Bouncer222 02-22-2010 09:48 PM

OMG.. Thank you! My logic prevented me from pressing that button in order to remove an award :)

Excellent mod btw!

Cadellin 02-23-2010 04:20 PM

@Ronya - could you be more specific about the column settings? My daysin doesn't increase after the script runs.

HolyKiller 02-25-2010 05:07 AM

Works fine, thx for vB4 update, love this mod!

EDIT: Uhhh, one thing. On vB 3 awards was under avatar, but now on vB 4 is right of avatar. Both set in settings as "userinfo_right (legacy postbit)"

http://img38.imageshack.us/img38/6461/awardse.png

Any way to display awards under avatar like in vB 3?

THX in advance

I found a glitch on 4.0.2 patch 1. Whenever theres more then 1 page of visitor messages, it shows a awards link below the visitor messages, which messed up the footer completely.

See attachments.

2nd Image is the messed up footer, and 3rd image is how its suppose to be.

There's a glitch that interferes with the iTrader system...

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=214

Can this be fixed?

technishawn 02-26-2010 04:26 PM

Working Great on 4.0.2. Thank you so much for updating this mod!

CypherSTL 03-02-2010 08:11 AM

I have just gotten around to updating one of my test sites to 4.0.2. I've found a few glitches that I have already begun to dig into fixing. One of which is the Awards link displaying on every tab within the Profile.

Just an FYI to everyone; I am also using this mod on a live production 4.0.2 board (http://www.clan82ndairborne.com), so any bugs/glitches encountered should be able to be confirmed more quickly, and an updated posted more quickly.

For those of you having issues with the display of the awards on the postbit_legacy, try selecting the "postbit_right_after_posts" location and it should display more neatly.

Double check in the AdminCP -> Award System Settings that you have a location set for award requests to be sent to (Email, PM, Forum ID, Thread ID, etc....).

Just an update on the installation of the Awards System with columns not being created, on a fresh 4.0.2, for some reason they wern't created. I'll be going through the upgrade scripts to see if I can track this down.

Thank you for your continued support and hard work on this modification.

My members love it.

I'm getting exactly the same problem :(

angelimnot 03-04-2010 08:43 PM

Is there any way to make this mod have awards that expire? and to tie in a promotion when they have so many awards? and demoted when the awards expire?

Kingdombuilder 03-04-2010 11:22 PM

I love this mod, great work!! I have not installed it yet cause i kind of unsure... I'm actually looking for a way to post a badge for participating members. I was wondering if this w3ould be able to retrofit my need. I have a site of graphic developers and i want to put a badge on certain members that belong to the development team. Would it be fair to say that i could substitute the medals with a badge. Or better yet now that i think about it i wouldk like to keep the reward system in tact and use it for every submitted art piece and give a reward base on that.... But I still with have the problem of the badge being displayed in the postbits. I'm definitely going to install this mod now... Can anyone shed light on the badge situation?

Xanlamin 03-05-2010 10:49 PM

you add whatever images you want to it, you can have as many categories that you wish, each category can support an unlimited number of awards (images), you can automate an award to be given when a user is in a certain usergroup, there are a lot of options.

Forum Lover 03-07-2010 04:11 AM

Any ETA for next release?

Kingdombuilder 03-09-2010 02:35 AM

As i got to use this mod I think that it is a very awesome idea... I love the easy to use function of it. i have one issue I was hoping you guys could shine some light on. I have created badges for my developers and also other awards for the amount of projects submitted, also awards for the number of post the members would tally up. Because i would give the award at different times and I'm using the award mode #3 they all get mixed in together looks pretty bad. How do i keep them grouped together even though I might give the same member different awards at different times?

Xanlamin 03-09-2010 03:44 AM

The awards are sorted per there sort order, if you want to sort via ascending order (from 1 - 100 so to say) the award you want first you would need to give the sort number of 1 and the last of 100 and all in between will go accordingly. The sort order is for the whole of the awards system, not just per category, say you have 4 categories you will need to put your categories in the order as well, like most important ones in the first category and so forth with your lest awards in your last category. I hope this answers your question.

Kingdombuilder 03-09-2010 04:35 AM

Here is my sort order:

Here is the postbit render:

Looks like your sort order in the settings is going in DESC order. Which if it is then the display is correct.

Kingdombuilder 03-09-2010 02:04 PM

It was actually "Issue Time - Newest First". I will changer to the Asc and see if this works out better for me. Thank you for your help.

Yes, that I do believe is a bug in vB 4.0. A few other users in other forums, and vB.com have posted on that.

How about you go back and find out exactly what I was referring to on what wasn't working.

As for people not being able to request/recommend awards. It's working on my development site and as well as my live 4.0 site. Make sure you go through the usergroup permissions, etc and make sure everything is set properly.

It's a feature that is currently being worked on and tested on a few live forums.

10 Gauge 03-15-2010 08:46 PM

Any news on when the next release might drop that fixes the glitch on the profile pages?

This is my site that we test on to check during live environments.

Bouncer222 03-16-2010 07:36 PM

Sweet! Can't wait for update!

Bouncer222 03-16-2010 08:28 PM

One important thing I forgot to add... This feature needs to be implemented!...

If an award is already issued, warn the "award distributer" that the following users have the awards after they decide to give them out, and have the option to cross them off the list, and continue giving awards out.

Can you implement this in next release please? we have a large community at www.brotherhoodofgamers.com and its hard to keep track who has what already.

saghir 03-17-2010 01:58 AM

its work with vb 4.0.2 ???

Juggernaut 03-19-2010 06:04 AM

Do the images that can be used for awards, do they have to be a specific resolution in order to work with the award system?

unicorn2433 03-19-2010 04:11 PM

I just wanted to say that I loved this hack on 3.8. And am very excited to upload it to 4. I just upgraded from 3.8.5 to 4.0.2. I had the yas disabled during upgrade.
My question is will the rc1 release of this work with 4.0.2 or should I wait.

Also I wanted to say thank you for all the hard work and I am so sorry some people are so rude. And i really appreciate this mod and the work you have done:)

also what and where do you put this Default CSS Data.txt
