Ok, found the fix for this, it's actually an Explorer setting.

Under Tool, there is a Compatibility setting that was post likely turned on, turn it off and the bars go away.

Is your forumhome template modified? try reverting and see if this solves the problem

I seem to have a problem with the login section at the top of the page, but only on CMS. It works fine on Forum and Blog, but on CMS the Remember box is below the username and password boxes. I'ts almost like there's a line break, but my knowledge of vBulletin templates and coding is apparently insufficient to track down the issue. Any suggestions?

These shots are from Chrome, but IE has a similar issue.

Hey Natai,
In your header template is the remember me box surrounded with a fieldset tag? if so remove this.

just got a complaint that the advanced editing no longer works. I tested the default style and it seems fine but not working in darkness. I need to run today so I didn't look real deep but curious if anybody else has this issue. I will dig more into it later and hopefully provide more info on it.

Edit: Also noticed that is doesn't work in Brown either but I'll admit, my brown isn't up to date.

Ok, a little more digging before I leave for the day. I opened the advanced editing in the default style and copy the URL - http://mmacrypt.com/forum/editpost.p...&postid=115033

then switch over to Darkness to and paste the URL just to see if it's a button issue and notta, I get blank screen. I hope that give you a little ammo buddy.

This is a very nice style BUT following validation results are stopping me to use it:
Markup Validation ---->> 4 Errors, 6 warnings @ Result 1
CSS Validation ---->> 397 Errors, 767 warnings @ Result 2

Alright so I recently did the upgrade to vB 4.1.3 and uploaded the new 4.1.3 skin but now you can't see the settings link at the top right of the forum.

The forum sidebar? a mod can be found called sidebar everywhere that does this.

Did you merge the new XML properly?
Seems like your header template has not been updated.

Find: {vb:rawphrase control_panel} and replace with: {vb:rawphrase user_control_panel} Otherwise you will not see the settings button in the user menu.

I had my header centered before upgrading the skin to the 4.1.3 compatible version, now it's not. I have this in my additional.css.

Yes sorry I was able to do it manually by adding:

margin-top: -10px;
margin-left: -215px;

I'm not sure why i had to do it now, and I don't have to do it on any other skin.

The tag cloud has not been modified in this skin, so this can be modified how it is done on the default skin.
I believe for the CMS this is done via widgets, and the forum sidebar is done via the blocks management

Settings doesn't show on mine. As in the top of the navbar, Settings doesn't show. :\

Edit: I'm making a completely new style based off of your Darkness3 style, so I need it to to look as close to vB normal as possible.

Also, there are a few plugins that screw up this style. With the original vB4 skin, there isn't this problem. With ibProArcade, it screws up the .css files, and with some of the vSA (Valter's Mods), in this case, Advanced Registration, the .css also gets screwed up.

Sometimes mods/plugins do not load the additional.css template.
So sometimes you will need to copy the contents of the additional.css to the very end of the vbulletin.css template.

Is there any way I can have it load the stylesheet instead of having to copypasta it? I'd rather have everything as simple as possible.

When starting a new thread, none of the posting option buttons show up. They show in quick reply though. Is this a bug or a setting within the vB, running 4.1.3

That's because of the imagevars. Just go into your Stylevars and point the images to the directory/path that they are in.
