My forum marking is active, however, the link doesn't work to show the new posts.

The link to new posts works on 'Home', just not on my actual forum. Using Seamus & Banner.

Disabled for now.

Using the 'reputation' portion of this in conjunction with the post thanks hack and created our "like" modification with notifications ;)

Great mod Paul, been using it for quite a while. I just updated my site to new styles and the mod gets compressed by the navbar now. Is it possible to move this to after the tabs by just changing the template_hook in the XML?

This is a great hack and I used it for years on my vB 3.x-Forum and installed it after upgrading to 4.1.x - but unfortunately it has 2 strange behaviors:

1. When there are no unread posts and you click on the link (even if makes no sense), a blank page appears instead a message or a forum page
2. The result from a click on the link is different fronm the result with a click on the menu item "New Posts" - shouldn't they be identical in a forum?

Can anyone confirm this behavior or is it a local problem of my forum? Any hints what to correct/ change?

No, I cannot confirm either of those behaviors.

Thanks for the info - so it might be a problem with an additional AddOn - seems I have to investigate that....

What is curious: When I click on "No unread posts" the URL is http://www.florida-interaktiver.com/....php?do=getnew[ARG:2%20UNDEFINED] ?? This causes the blank screen, I think.

Just wanted to ask:
Is ist possible to make so that the plugin counts your own new posts as unread. My users are almways complaining that in "New Posts"(navbar) or in this plugin own posts of users are not shown.

My users were disappointed that this feature was no longer available with the 4.x.x forum. Thanks for making the mod.

I have several forums that are hidden except for selected users. When a member searches for Unread Posts they get a printout at the top of the page of all of the excluded forums. I would prefer that they not see that list as it raises more questions than I care to answer.

If I don't exclude any forums will they not be included for those members who don't have access to those forums anyway? I don't want them to find unread messages in forums they don't have access to.

Love this mod! A couple of problems though. In one of my themes (the one my posters use the most), the 'Unread Posts' is not clickable.
And the time seems to not be changing telling me when I logged in last.

Ive installed this but when I go to usercp I get database error so had to disable for now.

The install failed - lastrepcheck is a field created when you install it.

Uhm, help, I think I broke something. Before I installed it, New Posts where showing all threads that had new posts in them, no matter if read or not, and that's how we all liked it. But after I've installed this mod and also after uninstalling it, something got messed up. And despite having new posts in Today's posts: http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/9...92c8991f3c.png, it doesn't show them in What's New/New Posts anymore: http://img96.imageshack.us/img96/769...6aa9ea4273.png after I read them. Did the mod permanently bug something?

EDIT: oh, there were go: http://prntscr.com/6sw2x It made a stealth edit to that setting.

Maybe you should actually read the first post, there is nothing stealthy about it.

Thats a sign of an old custom phrase. Check out the dup_ * phrases for old translations.
