Those are only phrases - I can change it but, those are not minor bugs - or ?

Ozidoggy 07-19-2009 09:54 AM

Went to your site to look at pro..but nothing in english...can't see any prices or download area. Also is pro in english?

Coroner 07-19-2009 10:07 AM

It's ALSO all in english. You may change the language (left bottom at my site).

Downloadarea and prices are at the licence-manager

chick 07-19-2009 11:22 AM

The lite is full featured from what I can see, what more is in pro? I will check out your site. I hope it tells me in English. Also mostest is not a word, it should be just Most

I corrected 8 phases with mostest

and for some reason most coders spell separate wrong, they spell it seperate and it is separate

Coroner 07-19-2009 01:43 PM

Thx for the correction. I will change it.

No really - for example:
Limited categories
less media-sites (only 20)
timeshift
category password
Cooliris and/or Piclens LITE support
....

I know, that are not all things that everyone needs.

oh I see, sounds VERY nice but really this lite version has allot, I have not found one glitch (only the spelling errors) which is easy to fix ... or just go through the files before upload.

I will come back to your site, I want to check out the pro version
... this really is a WONDERFUL media script :)

hey, your English is better than my German... lol... I only know English!

Mahar 07-21-2009 03:33 AM

Why is it when I goto upload it says Private Gallery and Public Gallery but nothing to actually upload stuff? Did I add something wrong?

Coroner 07-21-2009 07:01 AM

'cause you have to choose a category first

PlaybyPlay 07-22-2009 02:38 AM

Awesome mod. I'm loving it. However, when I click on a URL picture to a youtube video, it gives me this error:

Code:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting T_OLD_FUNCTION or T_FUNCTION or T_VAR or '}' in /home/content/p/2/6/p26123568/html/main/forum/includes/class_umgmedia.php on line 10

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

rladner 07-22-2009 05:38 AM

I have a question... I was able to include the link to UMG in my navbar, but how exactly does the private gallery work?

Are members supposed to see someone's private gallery through their public profile link? That's what I would assume one would be able to see their private gallery, but how do I add a tab or something so it'll show in their public profile?

Are you using PHP4 ?
If so, I've uploaded a new file "class_umgmedia_alternate".
rename it into "class_umgmedia" and upload it.

The private gallery works like the public one, but ...
Users can create their own categories (title, description, permissions a.s.o).

I didn't create HOOK's for the LITE version. The PRO comes with a lot of more features - has HOOK's and some AddOn's for the profile.
Another Addon is for Users (vB) Albums. With it, the Users albums are also shown as a private gallery inside the UMG.

So with the PRO version it will already contain the links to view private galleries under someone's public profile?

What other hooks and addons are included in the PRO version, and how much is it (US $?)

PlaybyPlay 07-23-2009 12:00 AM

Hey, I switched the class_umgmedia.php file as you suggested, however, now I recieve this message:

Code:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in /home/content/p/2/6/p26123568/html/main/forum/includes/class_umgmedia.php on line 78
Thanks for all the support and this gallery.

rladner 07-23-2009 05:02 AM

I have 3 questions total for you to answer:

1: So with the PRO version it will already contain the links to view private galleries under someone's public profile? I'm referring to the tab that's called UMG Images/Media under your profile on your site - http://www.php-unlimited.com/member.php?u=1

2: Will the PRO version auto-create the thumbnails for images? I know that for videos it won't unless you're running some type of media/flash server that it'll do that for you.

3: When viewing a media file, do the previous/next buttons utilize AJAX to show the next/prev images, or will it load the entire page? I found a hack on here that made the next/prev button AJAX so it'll load the image and not the entire page.

Thanks, I appreciate your response and assistance.

I think, when you can get me access, I'm better able to help you.

1.) This is one of the AddOn's. Another one is called "Forumalbums in UMG" (see in my privtae Gallery). Or use Forumattachments in your private gallery (you can also see this in my private).
The latest AddOn will be a "mini hallery" for the profile (it's not finished yet)

2.) Creating thumbnails is in both versions the same - but there are no images/thumbs from videos.

3.) No, i'm not using AJAX in it - only Javascript. Use the buttons or your cursur keys (left/riight) to view the next/previous images. The problem here is, if you're using a lot of images the "loading time" (sorry for that - what's called correctly ?) is to long. I think, it's better to load only one image.

I use a lot of HOOKs in PRO.
Price is actually (no warenty) 44 Euro = 62,5944 US-Dollar

TCB 07-23-2009 09:44 AM

I'm currently using vbgallery for pictures and videoremix for youtube videos. The gallery contains thousands of images and is about 10gb.

The problem with the vbgallery is that it's hard to perform a good cleanup. You'd think filters like 'viewed x-times', 'upload x days ago', etc. would be standard tools. vbgallery is lacking those. So in order to do a cleanup, I should delete picture-by-picture.

How does Ultimate Media Gallery handle this? Is there a 'duplicate pictures finder' available?

Downloadarea and prices are at the licence-manager

But you have to register at your site to enter the license manager (only to see the price -and conditions- of the pro version)

Coroner 07-23-2009 10:30 AM

Yes, you have to register.

There is no "duplicate finder" - cause all files are unique. That means, you can upload the same file more than 1 time and all will have a unique filename.

You can delete "media by media" or if you in a category, mark the checkboxes and delete them all.
Media inside a category (viewed page) could be: 3,6,9,12,15,18,21,24 by default. But you can enter the steps inside the AdminCP (columns inside the category). F.e. if you choose 4, the steps would be: 4,8,12,16,20,24,28

This means, you can delete X files at the same time.

TCB 07-23-2009 11:39 AM

Is it possible to allow an usergroup to add youtube videos (by link), and have these submission being added to a moderating queue?

Coroner 07-23-2009 01:23 PM

You can give a general permission for (upload) Links (like youtube, wannachallege ...)
When a category says: media needs to be approved = YES

The Admin, Mod have to moderate those media (or comments).

So, the answer is definately: YES

dt_truck11 07-26-2009 03:52 AM

idk if its something im doin wrong but when i renamed the module for vbadvanced the module title still displays as thumbnail random when I have it set as Photo Album or should do i need to go to vba to find the solution to this? any help would be great

JeffG2583 07-28-2009 03:54 AM

Coronor you've been awesome at supporting this! When I upload a .WMV file, the lightbox that pops up with the Windows Media Player in it is tiny. I've tried changing the media sizes and it seems to do no good. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Coroner 07-28-2009 04:38 AM

Which browser do you use ?
I have the same problem with Safari (need to scroll down)

JeffG2583 07-29-2009 03:43 AM

I'm using IE6 on this PC. Just tried it on another with IE8 and got the same results. It's making the lightbox that movie maker is embedded in as big as the big WMV picture you click to see the video.

Sorry, don't know what it could be.
I've tested it with IE6 also, but used a WMA file - see my image below.

foroalfaromeo 08-02-2009 02:11 PM

I have just purchased the Ultimate Media Gallery and I'd like to make a homepage merging UMG and forum.

An example would be:

http://www.alfaowner.com/aohome.php

Any hint?
Is there a plugin I can install?

Thanks

Coroner 08-02-2009 03:41 PM

Please, explain what you mean with - merging.

A link for the navbar ?
vBa or vBCMS ?

foroalfaromeo 08-02-2009 11:14 PM

The navbar thing it's done, but I'd like to have UMG and the forum categories in the same page.

Coroner 08-03-2009 04:56 AM

The only thing at the smae time is, the newest media/images at the forum.

This can be done with the UMG forum integration

Renaming the module doesn't change the title.

Open the Module with an editor and search fpr $tpl_title ($tpl_title will hold the title).

Hello,

I have just purchased the Ultimate Media Gallery Pro and when I add a module with random thumbs in Vbadvanced CMPS, give an error on main page (see attach file)

And when I hit over cooliris icon on the menu gallery doesn0t work

Thanks

horusbird 08-14-2009 05:12 PM

Hello, I tested UMG and I find it very well done, I would also like to buy the PRO version but I have one question: If Allow users to create galleries, may or may not enable the user groups, but that will see all the groups and some groups that I would like to keep secret should not be seen.
How to solve?
Moreover, a user can prevent an administrator or a moderator see his gallery?
This seems to me a contradiction.
Thank you

Marco

*Questions are answered*

rdklein 08-16-2009 09:21 AM

I tried to install the lite version, it seems to work, I can upload images etc.
but I cannot see the AdminCP menue
with the settings specific to the UMG, for example to assign size etc.

Some of the menues appear its only the menue on the left side.

I also only can access he gallery via www.xxxx.xx/forum/umg.php

the normal forum does not show any of the gallery.

I am using AME also - does his interfere ?? it shows on the panel side of AdminCP
--

Also was search for the announced PRO version cannot find it on the links and forums given.

Coroner 08-16-2009 09:34 AM

I wrote you by email:

You have to set the Adminrights first, to see the menue on the left site.
Usergroups - Administrator Permissions
or which menue do you mean ?

Quote:

If you mean the navbar, take a look at the documentation.

Quote:

rdklein 08-16-2009 09:48 AM

yes thanks it works now, the admin rights were not even enabled in my admin account I had to set a ID in default.php (we have multiple admins).
--
can you supply a link to buy the full PRO version that would be great

for the navbar I will take a look at the docu.
