Product: Yet another award system

Press find. Edit and replace all "award" with "emblem"

example, for "Awards Showcase", change it to "Emblem Showcase"

in the admincp i am not getting award system option, i am getting this

Do you have some kind of forum caching that you need to clear out first?
If not, try reuploading your files again.

That is because you have not installed the product. Go to AdminCP -> Plugins/Products --> Manage Products -> Add New Product.
Browse for the xml file and import it.

So, can you display different medals / awards for different topics or actions on the site? Is it full customizable as to the awards and how they are displayed?

I have an issue...

I have created two different categories for my awards system, one category named Awards the other is named Achievements.

The problem I have is that when you view any user's posts, they show up in ONE box, I would like the awards category to show up in the box (style 1 settings) and the second category achievements to show up only as a number, Example: Achievements: 3
no images for achievements category, and it would show up under the awards box.

anyone know how to do this?

There is no current function for member list, it has been removed from our revised version, sorry.

There is currently no way to have awards from certain categories show up in different boxes at this time, it is just not a function that has been looked into as this has never been brought up before.

Yes, but it will take some time as we where not able to get in on the beta to be able to get our hands on it to play around with yet.

by the way how long would it take you to upgrade once the gold is out? cause before i upgrade to vb4, i need to know all the add-ons are available too.

hard to say at this time, but as soon as gold is released this mod will be one of the first we work on.

Is it possible to optimize it so it doesn't run 1 query for each post in showthread, even if member doesn't have an award?

we will be working on that, but it was necessary at the time cause every time a new post was made in a thread it would keep adding the awards to the postbit for some reason.

Just to give everyone a heads up. With work and everything I've had pretty much no time to check these boards and what not.

But, I have been working here and their on an updated version of the mod. It still needs some work, and isn't quite ready for release. Some bugs are fixed, specifically the amount of queries from the database.

I'm still here, I'm not dead.

Any info on what the 'updated' version will include? Any surprises? :)

I believe they stated Board Moderators will be able to give awards based on permissions in AdminCP. ;)

To start with:

1. DB Queries have been fixed thanks to a contributor (credit will be given when release is published).

2. Ability to have multiple pages (No longer one long page for all the awards).

3. Planning for vB4 series porting

4. Memberlist reintergration

There will be some other cleanups with the code for the vB3.8 series.

Is there anything anyone would like to see done with this Mod? We will take a look at them 1 by 1 and see how they can be done and if there are some easy ones we should be able to get them out in the next release. But for now please post what you would like to see or any current issues you are having that have not been listed above. I know there have been some post of issues but it is easier to read them from this point forward instead of looking back over 20 pages.

I love this mod as do my members. I've been looking for a mod that will recognize the members that are in the service or who have previously served. I've seen a couple that require template edits and etc. but I think that this one would do the job just fine. I just need some military seals to add those rewards. Does anybody know of any small military seal icons that would work with this mod to serve that purpose?

I sincerely appreciate it but the file will not open. I get a message that says it is not a valid archive and to try to download it again. Tried a couple of times but still getting the same message.

What part of the code do I have to delete to completely remove the "Icon" section. Since my Icon and Image are the same its redundant.

From the looks it is two different aspects, 1 utilizing the awards system and the other being a link to the awards they are giving in a different manner, it does not look like the two are part of the same hack, this is also apparent since you can hover over the images in each and pull up a drop viewer.

Any suggestions? :(

@Drocr: Not sure at this time, when we start digging into the code we will take a look at this.

@Bouncer222: I am unsure of what they are using to accomplish it. It will be something we will look into duplicating.

Have now a copy of vB 4.0.0 Beta 3 suite version, will be installing on our test site so we can tear it apart and see what it all looks like for a coding stand point.
