There are no issues with vbseo. It doesn't create any problems with thread rewriting.

Sure it is a problem with vBSEO.
When thread rewriting is enabled it shops up the url in the iTrader panel when submitting a iTrader so that only the last part shows like /showthread......php leading to a invalid url error message.

I am still not getting anything to come up in the usergroup area. I cannot edit the usergroups or anythng. Is there anyone who can point me in the right direction? I am totally clueless about this stuff and I would really like to get this working on our board. :(

You did something improperly with itrader during install or you have something configured improperly with vbSEO. It works with no problems with my thread re-write on.

iTrader is installed by the book and vBSEO is running in default mode. It works great when I turn thread rewriting off in the advanced options panel.

I'm looking for an alteration to this system that allows ratings to be placed in moderation, and I'd be willing to pay for it.

I run a trading forum and something like being able to moderate and review the TR's left would be very beneficial to the integrity of the system in general. Perhaps implemented as an admincp toggle on/off option. On my site, we require users to be very specific about the trade details they leave in their feedback.

Basically I'm just looking for a way to have TR's sent to a moderation queue for review by mods/admins on a daily basis before they are made public to other users. To a lesser degree, I'd also like to be able to rate trades on a "per trade" basis rather than one TR "per user" (this could also be implemented as a toggle option), but the two features go hand in hand. I wouldn't want to open up that can of worms unless my site mods could also review trade ratings before they take effect.

IMO these two simple functions would really turn iTrader into something solid and viable. As of right now there seems to be no way to monitor the system and ensure the validity of a TR before the fact other than a simple mandatory thread reference.

When one of our users uses the 'report bad ratings' control

then it seems like all our mods are getting the report. HOwever, I've made a secondary group and called iTrader Staff and they are the only ones with permission to admin the iTrader.

My assumption was that only the ones that could DO something about the ratings would get the emails.

Am I wrong? Do ALL your staff get the emails for bad ratings?

I am new to vB and the Admining side and am learning on the job.

As per ReadMe:

Please follow the following steps IN ORDER, otherwise the install will not work properly and I will not even bother to reply to any of your help requests.

Upload ALL the files in the "Upload" directory, including the sub-directories! Done: ftp'd entire "upload" folder to the "public_html" folder

Install the iTrader Product via the Plugin Manager. The XML file is located in the "Product XML" folder. I think I've done this correctly, as it shows up in "installed products". However, when I access the Plugin System, iTrader Location Info shows hook as "online_location_unknown"

Edit all the usergroup permissions (all groups default to no access). The iTrader permissions will show up at the bottom of the list. Can't find it anywhere under any usergroup. Yes, I've re-uploaded the files. I've uninstalled and re-installed.

Edit your iTrader options in the vBulletin Options menu. They will be listed at the bottom of the page in their own group. I see the iTrader options are there and available to edit.

Edit your templates, more info can be found in the Template Info.html file. I see the templates are there and are available to edit.

That's it, your iTrader system should be up and running. But it's not. Any ideas?

Pretty simple...if you don't actually install ALL the files into the proper places, it won't work. lol

The Upload folder includes:

.php files: These go in your root directory on the site (where all the other php files are at)
AdminCP folder: these files go in the AdminCP directory on your site
Images folder: these files go in the Images directory on your site

Well, you could use conditionals to show the postbit ratings in one specific forum, as well as any navbar links. But the mod itself isn't forum specific. Ratings are given to users and on it's own page.

Could you tell me how to do the former, please? I really only want it "showing" outside of the forum it's meant to be utilized in. Thanks.

Is there a way to prevent specified usergroups having a trader profile?

It tells you which templates to add them to. You then put them wherever you want them to appear.

I don't believe there is a way to sort them by rating without a rewrite into the base modification.

I haven't installed this mod, yet. But I do have a question. When I install this and someone posts feedback, does itrader provide a link to the classified ad? If it does, what happens to the link when the ad is removed from the forum?

iTrader doesn't provide a link, it's just a ratings system. There is a place for a user doing the rating to put in a link to the deal thread, and there's a control in the Admin CP to make that link mandatory as well as a validator that makes sure it's to an actual thread. But that's about it. The system is designed for a user to rate a user and that's about it.

How do you fix the rating number not changing from "1" after more than one rating has been given by other members? All of our members still just show "1" after being rateded more than once.
