just put
$vmoods wherever you want in ya header, under username or last visit time
and in ACP / Vbulletin Options you need to disable the box by $vmoods_form

Uninstalled because of javascript error in vb3.7.2 pl1

More of a suggestion than anything else here. I noticed that when you opt to using other custom mood images it's not very user friendly and I had to go into the xml and insert the dimensions of the new mood icons that I designed. As you can see I set the title "my mood" so that it sits flush with the bottom of the icon in the postbit and I'm still tinkering around and trying to set it so it is flush under the private messages the same way as in the postbit because it seemed using the larger icons looked strangely aligned when the larger icons are applied.

If you could also bold the text "my moods" so that it is more prominent would be great so that you don't have to go into the xml file and alter each time when an update comes out.

I guess my suggestion is to apply a more user friendly solution for people who want to use other custom icons with different dimensions without us going into the xml file and altering it to the new mood image dimensions. :)

Good work sniper and I hope to see these small grievances addressed.

Okay those are the cutest moods ever!! Have you released them and if so where can I get them and will they work with 3.6.8's version because I don't think this is going to work for me...

I'm the author of those those moods and I have just released them today so they are available to download. They will not be released on vb.org and yes they will work on the 3.7 mood manager script.

Pssst. Your missing amazed gif in your pack. ;)

gpc10347 07-19-2008 03:12 AM

Okay.. laugh and point at me now.. It's working perfect as can be EXCEPT, I blew out whatever made it work in the ibProArcade v2.6.7+ header area..

I *thought* I had edited Arcade.php but that's not it. Anyone know where / what file I had vmoods inserted into?

I also found that after I originally installed it, I had to add an extra break under the mood line because the image overlapped off onto the menu area - because I am using bigger mood images than the default ones. Thought it was worth a mention :D

How did you do that? I couldn't figure out where to add it in the navbar settings...

Thank you...I absolutely love them. I'm having the overlap problem but hopefully someone will show me how to add the break to even it out...

I don't know if this will help others but I spent two hours trying to figure out why my images weren't showing (I uploaded Shelley's wonderful new moods ) because I loaded them to the correct place but all I was getting was a blue ?. I re-uploaded everything and it still wasn't working. It turned out I needed to change the permissions on all of the images. They were only readable by the owner. So if you haven't tried that option I would suggest looking at that. Once I made them readable by all, they worked beautifully.

steve1966 07-20-2008 08:30 AM

Hi shelley i have added your images what do i need to change here they are not displaying properly in the navabr

vMoods CSS

drsli 07-21-2008 09:02 AM

First of all: Many thanks for this awesome mod and the additional beautiful mood-pics from Shelley! :)

In the vbimageworks-forum I found this solution:
Just go to the vMoods-options, scroll down to the vMoods-CSS-editbox and change the value "height" to "28px" and the value "width" to "93px".
This refers to the recent version of vMoods.

Shelley_c 07-21-2008 06:12 PM

Remember if anyone is having alignment issues (postbit solution) with relation to the larger custom moods you will need to go into the xml file (open in notepad) and change the alignment so it sits flush with the icon.

Find:

Code:

<span style="vertical-align: middle;">$vbphrase[vmoods_my_mood] </span>

Change to:

Code:

<span style="vertical-align: bottom;">$vbphrase[vmoods_my_mood] </span>
Can't figure out how to align the text in relation to the icon in the navbar so if anyones got a solution I'm all ears. :)

I've suggested this before sniper but if you could compensate for the larger mood icons so that the system is more user friendly and rectify the text alignment issues would be great on your next update. :)

ForgotenDynasty 07-21-2008 11:53 PM

it doesn't show up on my skin what are the edits for the skins

gpc10347 07-22-2008 12:05 AM

Seems easy enough but I've still not 'got it' in the arcade -

I viewed the source of the arcade page and it seems to be missing the footer information (javascript) that is in all the working pages. I suspect it's path related but I'm having issues knowing where to look...

Any help?

RZAmber 07-22-2008 02:16 AM

The moods are not showing up on the forum for any users to use... I'm bummed! :(

You will need to change the height to 30px as the height of the mood icons are 30px in height not 28px.

Your very welcome, and thanks for the pm Kinneas.

steve1966 07-22-2008 02:59 PM

Thanks you Shelley_c that solved the alignment

nikki712 07-22-2008 08:29 PM

I wish I could get the alignment in the "welcome" box fixed. I'm using the new images (AWESOME, Shelley!), but I can't get the alignment straight. Anyone know how to fix this?

This is a solution to fix the alignment problem in the navbar which was pmed to me by Kinneas so credit goes to him/her so thank him/her. :)

Go into the vbmoods Css replace vbmoods container line of code with the following. I set the padding-top to 18 pixels so it's sitting flush on the bottom where Kinneas had it set to 13px which sat in the middle.

Code:

#vmoods-container p{margin:0px; float:left; font-weight: none; padding-top:18px; padding-right:5px}

In the Xml file find:

Code:

<span id="vmoods-none"<if condition="$bbuserinfo[vmood] != 'none'">style="display:none;"</if>>$vbphrase[vmoods_change_my_mood]</span>

Replace with:

Code:

<span id="vmoods-none"<if condition="$bbuserinfo[vmood] != 'none'">style="display:none;"</if>><br />$vbphrase[vmoods_change_my_mood]</span>
Upload the xml file selecting yes to overwrite.

Thanks goes to Kinneas for posting the solution.

cheat-master30 07-22-2008 08:55 PM

How come when I upgraded, it didn't overwrite the old one and I had to delete that manually? Now I have to add all 30 odd custom moods again...

cheat-master30 07-22-2008 10:51 PM

Oh, and since you forgot the alt text and titles in postbit and profiles, I fixed it for you:

https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=186073

May want to incorporate into the next release.

I know... I'm talking to myself but hey - no-one else will...

I've got the moods appearing in the Arcade now - seems the variable was nested into an area that may only have appeared if the PM basket was full...

Problem is, the current mood appears only: Clicking does nothing and there's no javascript of the pile of images in the footer as there is on the other pages throughout VB..

Apparently, in the prior version - this could be resolved by adding $vbmoods to the arcade/functions/functions.php file.

Anyone actually have this working within the arcade page?

not working for me neither on the arcade page

nikki712 07-25-2008 11:16 PM

My moods are showing up in the "welcome" box at the top right side of the page, and in the postbig (under membernames, etc). However, it's also showing up at the very bottom of the homepage, and on every other page that I view. My forum is running very slow, and has been ever since these extra moods have been showing up everywhere. I'm not quite sure what I did to make the moods show up in places other than the "welcome/PM' area and the postbit. If anyone can tell me how to ONLY have those moods show up in those two places, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
