THANKS, OUTSTANDING MOD!

Love this mod !!!

Having the same problem as above though.

Can anyone help me figure this one out?

rolloffhill 07-31-2008 11:06 PM

Excellent mod, thanks!!

smirkley 08-01-2008 06:40 PM

Seems the mod doesnt necessarily follow the permissions conventions for usergroup album permission settings.

I had basically just disabled the link in the navbar, and now only allow for link in member quicklinks pull-down in nav bar.

Now, what I noticed, is also using the mod for showing random album pictures on homepage, ALSO wont show album images for guests, even again, if the permission mask for unregistered usergroups allows for it.

Either these two mods are conflicting and breaking each other to be seen by unregistered members, or I am seriously missing the setting that allows this to work for guests in vbulletin configurations.

Anyone with advice or a direct path that will help me understand the settings that make this work for guests?

Thanks in advance

Installed.

Nice mod.

I incorporated it with the "Latest Album Pictures on ForumHome" mod.

Is it possible to rename the "All Albums" link, etc. to something else like "Gallery"?

I think it would be useful to have the ability to name the page and links something else from the Admin Control Panel.

Otherwise, this is a great addon!

Good Work!

m0nde 08-03-2008 08:06 AM

I was able to change the name by going into the Phrase Manage and searching for "all albums". I'd still like to see this available in the Control Panel.

Also, please consider addint the ability to scale the thumbnails of the albums on the All Albums page.

As with everything in vb, you have to edit the phase if you want change a change a phrase. No config settings for this.

As for scaling the image, it goes with the vb setting.

In order for this hack to show an album, it passes the album through a vB check to see if vB allows the user to view it order not. I did not set up the check myself so there is nothing i can do.

smirkley 08-03-2008 06:27 PM

I appreciate your reply Abe1.

I havent used vb for but a few weeks, so I fear that I am just missing a setup somewhere. I will keep looking and double check everything, past the obvious usergroup permission masks, and hopefully figure it out.

Thanks again and I do appreciate the mod.

smirkley 08-04-2008 03:49 AM

Ok, figured it out.

Apparently Albums are only visible when member profile pages are set to be visble by unregistered members, regardless of the independant settings for guests being able to view albums in user group permission masks.

Interesting, but thats the way it seems to work for 3.7.2

Thanks again.

Abe1 08-08-2008 01:13 AM

<font size="3">Please note: This hack is no longer supported for additional features. vB announced that this hack will be included as part of vb3.8.

Abe, great job on providing something that was important for us to have on our forums!

LanciaStratos 08-09-2008 07:55 PM

I'd also like to say thanks to Abe for creating this hack, great work my friend. :)

Thank you.

And remember, replication, is the finest compliment.

Great mod!

However, how do we set it so we can moderate comments/replies to pics?

Anyone?

Picture comment moderation is controlled via the User Group Settings.

Great Mod. Thanks!

Cocko 08-14-2008 08:30 AM

Not sure when vB 3.8.x will be ready. Installed this nice mod. ;)

As I have seen equal questions here before but can't find right answers -
I would like to choose the usergroups (IDs) in ACP and only these useralbums
are listed in all albums or the opposite choose usergroups which are not listed.

Maybe it is only a small snippet? ;)
Thanx.

Can you please tell me what i need to do so that the navbar and quicklinks work ok with All Albums ? I am using vBadvanced as my index.php while vBulletin is in the /forum folder. Unfortunatelly, from my vBadvanced homepage, the links are broken. I've added in vBadvanced Global Options in Navbar replacements "all_albums.php" but it doesn't help.

Can you help me with this problem ? Thx in advance !

Thx a lot CPB123 ! It worked !

No problem. That's how I had to do mine to get it to work as well.

Just replace all instances of "<a href="all_albums.php" with "<a href="/forums/all_albums.php".

Then I re-installed the product utilizing the overwrite option.

Im using vbadvanced, and have done as suggested, but still, I only have the link in the navbar, but it still doesn't work, I only get error messages.

Nor do I see any album page when trying to access it directly, www.mysite.com/forum/all_albums.php

What am I doing wrong? :o

CPB123 08-22-2008 11:01 AM

Did you upload the all_albums.php file that was in the zipfile to www.mysite.com/forum ?

Yes, I uploaded it into my forum directory, and I also uploades it into my public_html, where my forum directroy are placed, just to be sure..., but still, I get the link in the navbar, but I cant find the album page at all.

I'm not using a special skin either, I use the default vB style with some modifications, so I really dont get this, I must do something wrong...

I would let you into my forum, if you would take a peak, because I really dont get this.

Savage702 08-22-2008 05:23 PM

How do you call a product into another product? Is this possible, or would it be a major hack?

I'd like to put the Latest Comments product at the bottom of my All Albums product page. Anyone have anything quick and easy before I start digging away at this?

Peter Caparelli 08-25-2008 11:08 PM

I uploaded via FTP "all_albums.php" to the folder where vBulletin is loaded (/phpbb, as I used to use phpbb and wanted to preserve the URL many users no doubt had in their favorites...) and clicked the "install" link in the page where I downloaded the hack, as per the instructions zipped with all_albums.php, but I don't see any change at the site? What am I doing wrong?

Digital Jedi 08-26-2008 02:58 AM

Now follow Step 2 in the provided instructions. ;)

Peter Caparelli 08-26-2008 08:46 PM

Oops, don't know how I overlooked #2:

2) Import product-abe1_all_albums.xml into PRODUCTS. Allow Overwrite "YES" (admincp -> Plugin System -> Manage Products -> [Add/Import Product])

I'm not familiar with how I do this though. Can I do this via WS_FTP?

Digital Jedi 08-27-2008 06:54 AM

In parenthesis there in Step 2 are the directions on how to get to your Product Manger:

obiefan 08-29-2008 02:33 AM

hi, i'm having a small prob.

I have my file size requirements set fairly high at 2.5 mb, 3072 wide and 2048 high.

When uploading a photo greater than .98 mb, the fie fails with a " Invalid SQL: Insert into picture" error.

Any idea what might be happening?

Thanks in advance for thoughts...

edge23 08-30-2008 10:07 AM

Change your attachment storage type to File.

Then change these settings via your php.ini

upload_max_filesize = 50M
post_max_size = 50M

I usually raise these setting up a little as well
max_execution_time = 120
max_input_time = 120

If your upload times out raise those a bit more.

obiefan 08-31-2008 01:21 PM

Thanks for the info. I have found and made the changes sucessfully in the php.ini.

I'll test it now.

Jim

obiefan 08-31-2008 04:57 PM

made all the changes, and restarted apache service, but still get the same exact result.

Thank You Very Much!
