Okay, I changed the Cached Posts Lifespan to 0, refreshed, still showing the media tags and links rather than videos/pictures on my vbAdvanced homepage.

I rebuilt the post cache... now ALL of my past posts are showing the tags and URLs.

Reset the Cached posts lifespan to 20 days, refreshed, and it's showing the media tags and URLs.

Any ideas how to get all the previously posted media posts and threads to display correctly?

Edit: I don't really care about the home page too much, I just won't have it show those threads. But I really really need to get my past posts back to showing the videos rather than the URL's. I'm sure I just don't know how to do it... but help please. Thank you!

Goldbrick needs php 5. Those errors your recieving are related to php 4 not understanding some of php 5 features.
If you would like to pm me a link to your site with a temp admin I'll take a look.

The server should have picked up that it was php5 though. I'll rename the php files to .php5 and see what it comes back with :)


Edit: Not a penny. I've had to upload a .htaccess file telling the server to set php5 as default and it works ok. Quick note - in the CP section there's a spelling error - "Defualt Title for Media"

k i have installed it on 3.7.0 beta it installed without any error, but after installing when i tried opening any thread, it used refresh and show me a white blank page, can you tell me why, i have to uninstall it to make my threads working again.

Just a heads up... it seems to definitely be related to the different styles.

If you change styles on my board while viewing any thread with media tags in it, it screws them up. Check it out for yourself: http://constantcognizance.com/forums...read.php?t=403

You're using the wrong link for dailymotion. Just use the regular one.

I was using passivevid plugin which automatically parse the youtube link (mostly used) to the player.

I uninstalled that and installed Goldbrick, and now all my previous youtube links are just showing as links. How do i fix it? ( applied usergroup permission,forum permission and goldbrick options)

Videos work great in the forums, but when it is pulled through vBa CMPS I get a full screen video on a new page instead of the lightbox. I am using this with 3.7 Beta 4.

nix... whatever reasons there are, it's not display/play the video. I am testing on 3.7.0 b4. The lightbox shown, the flash screen shown but blank.. .Only close (X) button is there...

Hey Nix I been trying to figure this out for hours.
I checked that I have PHP 5.
Im using vBulletin version 3.6.8 Patch Level 2.
I made sure all the files are uploaded and the product xml.
I used to have the old version of anymedia and I deleted all its old files.
I set up Usergroup Permissions, Forum Permissions, and Goldbrick Options. (they are all set to yes for posting)
I made sure the main system is enabled and BBcode is all on.

This is what what happens. I created a new thread and put in the url, for exmaple a youtube url, nothing happens it just posts it as a url. Then when I try the bbcode [media]youtubeurlinhere[/media] all that does is show the media tags with the url inside. Got any idea why it isnt working properly?

Is there something wrong with the upgrade from 3.6.8 patch 2 to 3.7.0 b4? It kept asking me to upgrade my flash player and enable javascript????

Little more research done, little more information gleaned.

When viewing the homepage vBa CMPS in the default ForumBlue style I have, the tags work. However, when I change themes, they don't. But if I edit the thread and save it immediately without changing anything, it looks normal. Then if I go back to the previous theme, it's not working on the previous theme.

Ok, i figured some stuff out like the 'new" style for some reason doesn't work properly but i just really need help with one thing. I realized by editing html that the reason stage6 is not working is because its either not getting the width and height correctly or setting something that was hard coded cause all i get is height=5 width=0. I've gone though the code for divx and stage six but cant find anything. Can I just set a default width and height somewhere just so it doesn't have to search for it and input it wrong? If so exactly how.

how can i do that? i mean, all the page with latest videos..and so on..

and i'd like to now if there's a way to have again the M (i click on it and it opens the player..)

by the way, i've found that on admin cp "Use New Goldbrick Style" doesn't work for me... setting it on yes or on No the player for mp3 attachments is always the same

Hmm... not its not actually i dont even have a stage6 account and i watched it...

I actually fixed the issue by hard coding the width and height to the stage6 arrays but I would have wished not to do that.

Another issue i have now is that when i quick edit it messes up the code and it posts [media]http://whatevervideo[/media] I actually have to go to advance edit all the time.

I donot see anything.. just the links. what is wrong. Do explain me. Thanks

everything is installed and appears to be functional.But one issue i'm facing is when i click on a attachments for the .flv it wont play and the mp4. The mp3 plays but it's going like fast forward it sound like the chimp munks is singing...lol any ideas

This mod wouldn't do anything like that. Its probably a problem with the media player. You can go get the latest one from the site. The link is in the first post.

Stage6 might have changed something. When I get some time I'll check it out. Or if you know how open up the sites folder and look for stage6.php. Make sure the regex info matches stage6.com

usually thats because they video doesn't allow embedding.

I did notice, nice touch and about stage6 yeah it seems like regexps changed but i'm not great at them. btw in the class file ther was something like:

info[width] = info[widthpad] + info[addition]
info[height] = info[height] + info[addition]

"info[addition]" is not the correct wording but i forgot and im too lazy to check. but anyways I actually changed that to:

info[width] = info[width] + info[addition]
info[height] = info[height] + info[addition]

I did that so i can hard code the stage6 site but just asking cause i couldn't find out, where does widthpad come from cause I couldn't find where it was defined and thats why i always got that blank screen "width=0"
