Works perfectly for me! Thanks for this.. Great addition to any site for sure.

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 01:01 AM

Updated with .22, fixes all known bugs. Should be pretty bug free at this point ;)

So hopefully that's it until I have some new features to add.

RichieBoy67 10-12-2007 01:06 AM

I just installed this like 30 minutes ago and already an update...lol I can see someone is on the ball!!! lol

Thanks... If you need another test site or demo site let me know and I will post a link..

Which files have been fixed for this update? Should we just reupload everything and import new product?

Pretty much all of them ;)

I updated to the latest version and am getting this error when I click on the past winner results:

Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /casino/lotto_mytickets.php on line 38

then I am getting the message saying I do not have permission to access this page.

EmpireZ 10-12-2007 01:47 AM

Thanks Andrew...
1 thing is that on the new update.. the casino.php is located in the casino/cards dir, and not the casino dir. Is this correct?

shouldn't be in the casino directory, just the root one. Not sure how I ended up with on in the cards folder though ?

Oh well, removed it from the archive.

Installed update, but doesn't appear to update payout in Slots...takes away only! Runs too long at times, also!

Anyone else?

I'm in your slot machine right now and it's paying out for me?

Nothing in the payout code got changed, all that changed was a little check to make sure it got a response from the server on where to stop before trying to stop anyways (leading to more spinning if your server is falling behind at the time)

LordDB 10-12-2007 04:18 AM

Hi Andrew..tried in another account and it's adding the win one time, but not the next, so somethings up!

Same site that you gave me a link too? All my payouts are good, and I played quite a few rounds on your site and mine. If you've made any template changes revert those. If it's still giving you trouble let me know, as well as what you landed and didn't get paid for.

Did something change with the permission settings?

LordDB 10-12-2007 05:05 AM

Hi Andrew

Just tried on your site, and again it's not paying out when it should...like mine, it pays out one go, then it misses payout next...takes away OK!

SLY LS1 10-12-2007 07:37 AM

Seems to be working fine now with the .22 update

Ill get my members to give it a good testing tonight and let you know

Cheers

I'm still on 0.21, but this morning a user has reported that they got two numbers in the lottery but it didn't pay out. The numbers weren't in the correct order, I'm not sure if that's relevant.

Yes, fixed the file and reuploaded, sorry about that.

I'll recheck that, but I suspect it just went unnoticed, there isn't any notification for getting any less then a jackpot right now, and 2 of 3 doesn't give a very high payout.

Thanks so much! I just finished updating, and overwriting everything takes awhile, so I didn't want to do any unnecessary file updating.:D I'm not lazy, really!

I just did the upgrade and the slot is paying out fine on my site.

What results are you hitting that don't pay out? Does the amount show up in the payout box?

Thanks Andrew.

I have reported that back to the member who says they had $0 both before and after the draw, so they are stating it definitely didn't pay out.

Edit - nevermind, went and looked :D

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 02:43 PM

Lottery payout problem confirmed, I should have a fix tonight.

Edit: It was a easy fix, update with new includes/cron/casino_lotto.php file to fix.

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 03:27 PM

And for anyone that had draws go through and not payout, you can get the draw to be done again by setting the ticket numbers to NULL for that draw in the casino_lottery_draw table, next time the cron task runs it will pick new numbers and payout properly.

Tulsa 10-12-2007 03:39 PM

I just activated the lottery portion and changed the ticket value to $10 but it's still showing me $2 to purchase.

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 03:49 PM

Changes to settings effect the next draw, but will not effect the current draw.

Basically this is so if you have a $2 draw going, some people buy tickets, then change it to $10 you don't have people buying tickets on the same draw for different amounts ;)

LordDB 10-12-2007 03:52 PM

With respect, the fix hasn't sorted the Slot fault payout! I checked your site and mine, and still there's an issue! Even when it does do a payout, it's not to the win amount!

Hoping for a quicky fix really, as now Members are PMing me!

Tulsa 10-12-2007 03:53 PM

I see.. Thanks. :)

I haven't been able to duplicate this, I get proper payouts every time. I'll dig into it a little more when I get time, but can you please answer the questions above about what you are seeing happen?

LordDB 10-12-2007 04:04 PM

Basically, you place a $10 Slot bet, and if you lose, it deducts OK, but if you win if displays the Payout OK, but doesn't add it on to your balance. Another instance is say you won $30, it only adds $20 on to your balance!

Are you remembering to take the amount off of your balance as you put it in?

If I have 20, and put 10 in, then win 10. My balance is 20. +0 from starting balance
If I have 20, and put 10 in, then win 30. My balance is 40. +20 from starting balance

Thanks...I have tried this with a few draws but if you run the cron manually it just draws the numbers 1,2 and 3 every time.

That's hilarious :D

...and I promise not to do quick fixes from work anymore... Things like hardcoding results in to test things tend to get forgotten.

Anyways, file fixed... again. :)

Still doesn't seem to do it. Now it doesn't appear to draw any numbers at all, it changes from being NULL to just being blank in the database.

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 05:03 PM

Which is exactly why I shouldn't break that promise...

Well, one more time, should work now.

Thanks...seems to be ok now. :D

I should add, whilst I'm in the thread pointing out bugs, that this modification is fantastic and it's proving very popular on my site.

My ultimate aim now, as I also have both v3arcade and ibproarcade, AND the inferno quiz running, is to install vBcredits and integrate all four via that, as they are all compatible.

One small template bug, in slots_main you have a rogue apostrophe. Up to date browsers seem to just ignore it, but in IE6 it makes the "Payout" block in slots have no background, instead of the thead background it is meant to have.

Code:

<td style='vertical-align:top;width:150px;text-align:center;' 'class='thead'><p style='font-size:18pt;'>Payout<br/><span style='font-size:36pt;font-weight:bold;' id='outcome'></span></p></td>
Change to:
Code:

<td style='vertical-align:top;width:150px;text-align:center;' class='thead'><p style='font-size:18pt;'>Payout<br/><span style='font-size:36pt;font-weight:bold;' id='outcome'></span></p></td>
The rogue apostrophe is just before class='thead'.

Really minor but worth noting.

Andrew Green 10-12-2007 05:25 PM

Noted, and thanks :)

All you folks finding the bugs makes things go a helluva lot faster :D

One thing I've done on mine, which you might have noticed, is that everywhere there is a table that uses class='tborder', I have added cellspacing='$stylevar[cellspacing]' cellpadding=$stylevar[cellpadding]'.

What this does is make the tables exactly match the tables used elsewhere in vBulletin, which I like all mine to do. It does however make them take up slightly more room, but in all the cases I've seen there's plenty of space for that.

I think it makes it neater, but it's not technically a bug, it's a styling 'thing'. :D
