I tried it with windows live and got the e-mail addresses but the @ comes up as \x40 for example scoutz\x40hotmail.com so not working :(

plz searcg thers a mod- that sends mail as que base....using corn....

It invites someone directly from your mail on the site to a friend, then they are directed to the site directly.......only thing you do is input the friends mail.........simple/ clean

so can anyone confirm that it works with all the different email systems?

Well got it working apart from the gmail one, which wont work due to other mods we have running and the php version we have. So had to remove Gmail support

However we have changed how mail goes out so it atleast uses smtp authentication which is alot better than the php mail function currently used.

If anyone has rebuilt the gmail one please let me know so it works with servers that run a php version higher than 4.4.3

yes even i had that same problem.
Gmail, Yahoo doesn't import all contacts. so what i did was, i exported all my contacts from gmail, yahoo and imported in to hotmail. then hotmail importer did imported all those contacts but there was that problem of /x40. So finally hotmail also didn't worked for me.

Note that that modification was sent to the graveyard. And although I do not know exactly why, I would advise to be VERY careful, before you install a script that reads all contacts of your members including their email addresses. If you install a script like this, then you must really trust the person who wrote it. Email harvesting is big business.
