i think i have discovered what the issue is with my video index page

for some reason when i submit a new video to my forum, the video_id table in SQL is not filling in correctly...

lets say I have a video, youtube..embedded to my forum

I would assume the video_id should be 0XxI-hvPRRA

but instead it is just 0

could this be the reason my videos arent displaying properly on the index page? how would I go about fixing this?

for those wondering, for some reason my video_id table was set to integer, I had to change it to varchar through phpmyadmin in the sql database

I don't know if the author did that on purpose, but the mod is completely messed up.
Even the table is wrongly done.

I installed the code, It works but, not fully.

Where do I put the txt file? and save it as .htaccess?

I do not have a bar at top of window same as your demo, I placed the code line <!-- SEO Videos Index Bar --> in the navbar template?

Also I uploaded the google.gif and youtube.gof into the editor folder but it doesn't show up in quick reply, nor do the buttons show in advanced reply.

ill try to repair table...

but now 1 video it shows in video.html

Ok, now its workin.

delete the tables and run the installer again and edit some videos on my forum, and now the videos appear on videos.html :)

MM doesnt seem like this mod is still being supported, what happened to him. I find the videos work well in the forum but the icons doesnt show up on quick reply and in advanced it shows the text which look horrible. I think its better to uninstall this mod its way to full of buggs.

I can't get the index bar to show up. Everything else works fine, but the index bar doesn't seem to show up no matter where I place it.

And I can't get the videos index to show up either.

I just aquired a board that is running the SEO Video mod.

The board is running 3.6.4

The problem is the I don't see the option to post google or youtube videos when doing a "reply".
The option only shows up when posting new threads.

Sorry if this is dumb question - I have worked with SMF and phpbb but not VB.

Any help would be appreciated.

I noticed that if I use the "Post Reply" button it works.

But if I use the quick reply - goto advanced - I dont see the option to insert video.

FYI - I found another bug...

My video bar only displayed "3" out of the "4" videos.....

Looking at the .htaccess file you offered for download, it seems as though perhaps I could put some of the Rewrite Rules into the Custom Rewrite Rules section in the vBSEO control panel?

I installed it and I use vBSEO. I can't say that it works, because I see nothing on the videos.html page. The videos work in the forums, but that's about it.

To add this .htaccess to your existing one, just copy and paste it under the vBSEO stuff. Make sure the settings are the same as the vBSEO, or you'll get errors.

That's about all I can do for you. This mod needs to be marked as UNsupported!

Edit the template.... seovideos_index_videobar

Near the bottom Change......

Excuse my limited knowledge about this hack, but how can I place my URL's in the .htaccess file

My forums are located differently.
One is in a subfolder www.mydomain.com/forum
and the other is in a subdomain http://forum.mydomain.com

What edits do I need to make in htaccess for both cases.
