I do not install mods unless I know what the features are and what they do. Subscriptions could mean so much in vBulletin. You help is appreciated! Time to make a switch to this one.

Yea but i have custom template and when i set Automatically add link to Donate page to NavBar to Yes i don't see it in NavBar :P thats the problem ;)

If i set the subscription to 1 year it doesn't work

The link you have used to enter the PayPal system is invalid. Please review the link and try again.

It only does it if it's set for 1 year.

Great work! Simple and it works. I just a couple of fixes / suggestions that I wanted to raise with you.

[previous suggestions and code examples have been deleted to save confusion. These suggestions were all implemented by Cybernetec in version 3.9]

Suggestion: Auto confirmation?

Paypal has a return function where it will load a page you specify after a payment has been processed. If you could somehow use this to automatically confirm a payment it would be great!

Otherwise: brilliant mod - thanks for writing!

Is it just me, or isn't it kind of obvious that the instructions are at the top of the page, and also repeated in a file called info.txt in the download itself? This mod is so simple, it doesn't really need any further explanation.

yes, it's just you mfyvie.

the text file merely explains how to import the product and set the options in the admin panel. considering that is the easiest part of the whole thing, the text file falls way short of explaining how to get the product to run on any of our pages.

so, can anyone point us to a place that would explain how to actually get the thing working?

Guys probably the wrong thread to ask in, but looking for a donation mod for my new vB forum which uses vBadvanced and can't decide between this and the 'Paypal Easy Donate' Mod.

I'm looking for reliability, latest vBulletin compatability, regular updates as well as vBa CMS integration.

Any tips on which way to go?

You just import the product, set the options as it says in the info.txt, and a donate link appears in your navbar. The colour of that link is set in Phrases (just search in Phrases for "Donate" - either change the colour or remove the font tags). Click the donation link and you should see your page.

Perhaps you are expecting it to be harder than it is? Cybernetec's PayPal Donate has to be the easiest add-on ever. If your donations page is not showing, look at any other mods/hacks/addons you may have installed. They are really the only things that can mess it up. If you can't import the product, check your server setup. safe_mode can interfere with vB's ability to import and load addons.

Well it's in and working but as I use a Custom Aria Sand+ skin with vBadvanced the only option I've got it to get it working is to ad dit as a menu option within vBa - which works.

However my graphic artist has kindly created 'Donation' buttons for the Aria Navbar - so is anyone willing to give me a hand in working out how to modify the Navbar template to incorporate those buttons?

Well removed now guys as I prefer the looks of the other Mod..

I take it you mean with your question on the last page....

But in reality you don't need to do this - the manual template edits are listed in the instructions.

I had such problem with IE (javascript error) until I cleared cache. Please try to clear browser cache and reload donate page, then try to donate and see if it works properly now.

Unfortunately there is no good way to do auto-confirmation. PayPal has donator's e-mail address which must not be the same as one member used to register on our forum, so it's useless parameter. PayPal has nothing with any forum data we have (userid, username, donation id) so again no safe parameter to make this working properly.

Small suggestion, under this image, the date, month, year, the boxes are too small, the text is cutoff.

Unfortunately not... I'm using FF 2 and cleared the cache - same result. I even tried with Explorer 7 (which I've never used to test donate before), and also the same result :-(

Hi Cybernetec, I think I've found something. Just to recap my two previously reported issues were:

I've found that when using "Custom Only" I can work around the second issue by putting in a suggested amount (which is not displayed). The problem then disappears. This is an acceptable work around for me (since I now know it), but others may be confused. In other words - if using custom only, it is only natural to leave that field empty!

So it's ok as there is no good reason to have 'suggested amounts' field empty.

Also there is no reason to enable 'suggested and custom' when suggested is blank. :)

Ok everything i done in navbar was wrong, theme called tren_z made by extrimepixels have the navbar in the header. This is the code and bold changes i had to make to make this mod work.

Actually there is a very good reason to leave the field empty - if using "Custom only", then it is logical to leave this field blank, and if so - payments won't be recorded. I only mentioned both cases, since they both seemed to be connected to this field, and wondered if the cause of the bug was related.

I guess you can duplicate this behaviour quite easily on your own system to see what I mean (I already duplicated it on a totally different forum to be sure)

Anyhow, one question. I'd like to give all my donors some kind of a additional functionality. Lets say, showing their names in bold in their posts or show some nice 'donor' graphic next to their names.
Can someone provide me a code to do that?

Auto PM extension for version 3.9 of this mod.

Would you like to automatically send a PM to users after you've confirmed their donation? Just download and follow the instructions in the attached file.

I expect Cybernetec will roll this code into the next release (Cybernetec - please do!!), so it will not be possible to install this together with any later or earlier version other than 3.9. Please uninstall this if you upgrade to a later version than 3.9
