Cybernetec, is there any way to the hide particular sub-forums from the main page?

I think it will be a great future like:
Hide sub-forums from the main page (comma separated ID list)

Because if you have 10 sub-forums in some one forum it will be wonderfull to hide some of them from the main page.

I will try to suggest this one to vBulletin also.

I would also very much appreciate a feature like this.

Is there a way to show last posts for individual subforums in the
last post column if you use single subforum column listing?

for eg

Go to hack options and remove "white-space:nowrap;" from "CSS3" setting field, then save.

Subah 07-22-2007 09:45 AM

I don't think the ignore field is working - I add forums ID numbers (comma seperated) for it to not show subforums for but it still shows them.

This is not to hide sub-forums but to exclude them from arranging into columns.

j_86 07-26-2007 11:54 PM

Ah ok :) Great hack, thank you for your work - I love all of the Cyb stuff.

I have a question, however. I would like for the subforums table to shrunk (width-wise) - at the moment, using our fluid forum template there is a HUGE gap between the first and second column. How can I shrink the overall width of the area that the sub forums table is inserted into?

I see no any sub-forum on you board. Check vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options. Read hack notes.

0tolerance 07-29-2007 11:36 AM

cheers that helped me

xsamet 07-29-2007 03:21 PM

Thank you verry much. ;)

Kohhal 08-01-2007 01:49 AM

Is it possible to show the forum description underneath the forumname with this hack?

brfrankl 08-03-2007 06:03 PM

Having a slight problem. I have set this correctly:

-To get this hack working you must set "Depth of Sub-Forums" to "1" in vBulletin Options > Forum Listings Display Options

But when I set this hack to say 2 columns, I get 3, 3 columns, I only get 2, when I set it to 4, I only get 1,

Etc...

Ideas on how to fix this?

Also, just noticed that sometimes the thread/post count is under the next column (see img)

Cybernetec,

Could it be possible that in the next update of this mod that you could include the option of having the sub-forums listed in a drop down box? I've seen this hard-coded in a vb site that I go to and it looks really clean.

Thanks in Advance!

jluerken 08-11-2007 12:36 AM

Hi Cybernetec,

can you add vBProject Support?
Currently vbProject Subs are not shown correctly.

Kind regards
jluerken

cwestbrook20 08-13-2007 12:46 PM

I have also experienced issues with project Tools.

I love this plug-in, so I hope that we can update it to work with vBulletins Project Tools 1.0.1

Good luck and thank you!

mlomenzo 08-13-2007 12:48 PM

I have been waiting for something like this. It makes it tons easier to manipulate the sub forum titles. I was doing it manually... what a pain. Good job!

Mike

BuRaCh 08-13-2007 07:36 PM

It works fine in the default skin, but not in the custom one.

well if you change the skin to shv1, it's almost the same skin but it works fine w/ 2 columns. the shv2 skin is the one having problems, not sure what's causing it.

vitrag24 08-24-2007 04:12 PM

you don't 'Add SubForum'
you just choose how is displayed....

AdminCP > vBulletin Options > Cyb SubForums > Click twice and you will see the settings ;)
