Great Hack - klicked install and then uninstall at Top'X'Stats. ;)

But how can this be integrated to vBadvanced to use it and not the vBadvanced latest Postings-Module ?

jarosciak 11-04-2006 03:55 PM

Guys, this maybe simple question, but I need to know. Many of my users are asking about it.
I need to switch 'Latest Posts' to be the first column shown.
Can this be done? Please let me know how.
Joe

hmm... doesn't seem to follow usergroup permissions.

ie: I do NOT want threads from PRIVATE forums showing up at all.

is this possible?

farooqaaa 11-06-2006 12:38 PM

Then try to put the forum IDs separated by commas in "Excluded Forums".

Shazz 11-10-2006 05:56 PM

Probablly just needs a few more lines of edits somewhere with the CMPS

Guest210212002 11-11-2006 03:10 PM

/me clicks install

Any idea why the variable wouldn't work within a webtemplate? It works fine on my forums, but if I toss it in a WT, nothing shows up.

georgedd 11-12-2006 06:30 AM

Nice hack, installed! I'm not sure if this has been discussed already, but when I move a thread to another forum category, both threads show up in the Latest Post column. Is there a fix for this?

Thanks,

I chose to not list usergroupid 9, and when I reloaded the page I don't see any names at all under Top Posters/Reputations/Newest Members, but the newest replies is still fully loaded, still showing usergroup 9. Any suggestions?

Anyone have a solutions for this yet? I'm getting the same problem.

Stats are shown by default on forumhome (to disable it set "Top Stats Box Position" to "None")
To activate second location:
a) type location-name in "Additional Location" field
Explanation: When you open some vBulletin php file you'll see this at the top - "define('THIS_SCRIPT', 'XXX');"
XXX is location-name we need. It's usually the same as php filename (without extension, of course)
b) add "$cybtopstats" to the template called on page where you wish to have stats shown

Also include global.php if it was not done already.

Haven't tested because I'm not using vB Advanced but I see no reason why it should not work.

Hi,

why are the Threadtitels are shortened even if i select "0" in the AdminCP for the length ?

Look here at the left Table :

If you disable trimming in hack then it uses:
Forum Listings Display Options > Last Thread Title Maximum Displayed Characters

Hey folks,
I think it would be very helpful if you could set a date range that you want it to show stats for. For example, most new threads since day x. Instead of just the stats for all time.

This would be great for holding contests and such. Is there any chance that this could be included in the hack? How hard would it be to add?

Thanks, let me know
John

3.6.x version works with 3.5.x too.

V3RT1G0 11-18-2006 06:44 PM

ive installed the newest version and i still have a problem and ive seen other sites with the same one... when i use my style at fluid size the stat box will expand the whole forum leaving the forumhome non proportional... meaning we have to scroll to the right to see the whole forum... can you fix this?

craig hughes 11-18-2006 09:29 PM

same here, that's the only thing keeping me from installing this

lauxanh 11-20-2006 03:42 AM

Great Mods,

Installed and clicked

Sune24 11-28-2006 10:12 PM

For some reason, on my 3.5 board, the "most viewed" option won't work at all :( it's just always blank *sob*

v4.3 - Nov 29. 2006.
-Added option to set time/date formats (defaults: day-month, hours:minutes) - this can save some space
-Removed some 'width' attributes to improve columns alignment
-Table width changed to stylevar outertablewidth to fix problems with some styles

Upgrade info: Import XML, allow overwrite.

Shazz 11-28-2006 11:09 PM

/me updates

Thanx!

Neal-UK 11-28-2006 11:11 PM

This has made my box jump slightly off on my fixed width skin. No options had been enabled or changed after the update. Before it fitted nicely, site is here.

I do see how it does break the skin :cross-eyed:

Hi Neal,

I see that cyb_topstats_stats template was modified. Please revert it and see if problem is gone.

Also problem occurs in Firefox, but not in IE.

Neal-UK 11-28-2006 11:23 PM

Hello,

No the template has not been altered, I can't revert it as there's nothing to revert with the template.

Valter 11-28-2006 11:30 PM

v4.4 - Nov 29. 2006.
-Main table width is 100% again because $stylevar[ourtertablewidth] breakes some styles for some reason
-Updated templates version/dateline info

Upgrade Info: Import XML, allow overwrite.
