If I just use the simple bbcode set, I can go ahead and remove all other styles off of my server right?

Installed, but doesn't work with vb3.6.4 apparently. No need to ask for help because the author is mad at somebody and left the mod orphaned.

This will be the first mod I've uninstalled because the author stopped supporting it.

Not sure why, but it's working for me, using vb 3.6.4. :)

I've been tinkering with this for a while. I've not been able to get it to change anything.

I only have one other mod that messes with quotes:

But that shouldn't mess with this mod. I've tried this mod both with and without the nested quotes mod but it still doesn't show any changes.

I've changed the post cache to 0...rebuilt the thread information in the Maintenance area.

I'm at a loss why this isn't working.

Now I'm in the head banging stage...once there I keep hacking till either I pass out on the keyboard or my wife shoots me for inattention.

I've rebuilt the templates. Played with the settings...margins, color, template numbers etc etc. Turned off the post cache.

When I look at the page source there is nothing changed in any way. Not even a bad img tag.

Another mod I have is disrupting this one.

The Plugin Based Template Cache mod will not allow this mod to work.

Now I have to determine whether it's more important to have my boards run a little faster or have this great looking mod.

I've been trying to get this to work with "Plugin Based Template Cache" but I am not having much luck.

The other mod requires the templates from other mods to be excluded from caching.

I've put in all the templates that I can find from this mod but I must be missing some.

Can you list the templates for this mod?

I was having a slight issue of this NOT working with different templates. Clearly it works wounderfully with the default template, but refuses to work with my other skin called "LavaBlue" Can anybody get me a fix on this? I would love to be able to get this to work!

I installed this mod on my 3.6.7 board PL1, with custom skin, and it has no apparent effect.

Does anyone have a recommendation on how to make this work with custom layouts?

I imported the XML and configured the plugin and downloaded the images, but still nothing.

I've the same problem.

Tested with a clean vB 3.6.7 and it's working perfectly.

upload bbcodemanager folder to your custom image skin folder should work.

Hmmm the transparency option does not seem to work for me in firefox at all or in IE 7.

I have a quick question: is it possible to change the background color of the quote bubble? For instance, my message board is mainly black/gray background with white text. With all the black/gray everywhere, the white bubbles make my eyeballs ache! :)

No, you can't. Use the transparency quote bubble. If your background is black, the quote background should be grey.

It does work and it looks great. I thought it didn't too, but then realized it wasn't working on previous quotes. Any new quotes it works on though.

Works fine in 3.6.8. Guys, you have to modify the options in order to see the changes.

To get it to work in other styles, go to the AdminCP - BB Code Manager, then input your style ID's into the fields for each of the sets (Dark, Light, etc...) that you want the Style to use.

By default, only style 1 (the vb default) will appear, and it will use the "Light" versions. You must make changes in the AdminCP.

I uploaded all the files, then uploaded the Product file, then went into the vbOptions and changed the settings to the correct ones with the styleid = 1,2 for each of them.

But when I do the tags it doesnt work.

Have I missed something or not activated something?

I managed to hack it together by copying the template code for

bbcode_quote_dark

into

bbcode_quote

I made sure to specify the file extension and now it works.
